Really wish I enjoyed Tillians vocals more. Ofc the first vocalist they actually stick with is one I don't really like.

 

I really like Tilians vocals but I have qualms from time to time. They record him superrr breathy most of the time and they shouldnt.

 

I'm really glad I like Tilian a lot. Was a big fan of Tides of Man's Dreamhouse, so I've been stoked on his stuff with them from the get go.

 

Anyone know if Blood Wolf and Head Hunter were recorded from this album or last? I know they are not intended to be on this album. I really really like those tracks alot. This new song Im not so big on.

 

Prisoner is so good that I preordered the FYE exclusive vinyl.

 

Those songs were written in separate sessions from the new album.

It is really wild to step back and think about this being their 10th album. I've been along for every one since Deathstar.

 

Technically it’s their ninth at least according to their press release

 

so we really think they went into the studio between albums to record two tracks separately?

 

Really? That's odd. I've seen some of the band members talk about DGDX and assumed the X on the thing in the middle of the album art alluded to that.

 

they like to count WISIRO as an album for some reason. Theyve done that since they had that big vinyl release years ago. But that EP is garbage and doesnt exist.

 

Yeah I'm gonna say it's the 10th, even though I don't like WISIRO either

This is their 9th full-length but 10th overall release.

 

Yup! I can try and find the tweet, but Tilian said Head Hinter & Blood Wolf were recorded in like Jan/Feb of last year, and this album was recorded in October.

 

Not sure about 'Prisoner' after first listen, expected a bit more from what is going to be the album opener. I know it will grow on me, but every opener this band has done has been an instant hit except for this one. Hopes are still high of course!

 

dgdx is just social commentary on iphonex

 

its not a very exciting track imo

 

I like it but the pace of the song feels more like a middle of the album track rather than an opener

 

tbh Head Hunter would have been a killer opener
