Tilian era has been great, but a decade of ToM blossoming would've been even better. But like any great prog-ish band these days I'm sure they would've sold like 8 records and flamed out even with Tilian.

 

Sounds more like Secret Band then DGD and that’s not a bad thing

tides of man was pretty good at the time but come on

 

tides of man is as a post rock band imo and I think lp2 is my fav thing Jons ever done

 

Saw them at the boardwalk in Sacramento supporting DBM 1 opening for a static lullaby...I think.

It was right as shows were changing from mosh pits to hardcore dancing. So silly but good times.

 

Woe I’ve been to the underground a lot before it closed, and didn’t know they ever played there lol.

 

Say Hi is incredible. So much more excited for this album now. I can’t believe it’s already out next week.

this song is different and weird and I’m not sure I like Tilians parts

 

Who would've ever guessed Mess would become an absolute behemoth of a vocalist after Death Star and DBMII? He sounds so good on this. Love Tilian's lower register. The weird talking "uh" threw me off at first, had to rewind.

 

Mess has been good since Deathstar big fan of what all he pulled off there

 

This might be the bottle of wine I polished off earlier, but that lil bit in strawberry’s wake when they harmonize “clean up the past, say I’m sorry” just fucking hits in all the right ways.

my vibe so far from this album is that the songwriting is really sharp. it seems like they may have evolved. really digging the choices they’ve made here.
