i know this is anthonys thread but i also have a bad childhood memory.

my mom, being a single mother, had 3 jobs when i was a kid. i spent a lot of time with my grandfather since he lived a skip and a hop away. he was the only person in our immediate family that owned a VCR, one of the few things his ex wife had left him, and a lot of VHS tapes so he'd let me watch whatever i wanted while he tended to his garden. my favorite movie of all time is Robocop and he let me watch it at 6 years old which is wild but thats besides the point. one day i found a movie called Childs Play 2 in his VHS cabinet and just popped it in because why not. i was fucking T E R R I F I E D of Chucky after i saw him but couldnt take my eyes off of him for some reason. i cried and got scared and my grandad told me not to tell my mom he let me watch it because "she'll give me the dickens about it" so i agreed. about a month later my mom came home one day and told me she had a new toy for me. it was called a My Buddy doll and, if you look up pics of them on google, they look pretty much exactly like the Good Guy dolls in Childs Play. i was really afraid but i didnt want to get my grandaddy in trouble so i pretended to like it. my mom insisted i sit it up in my room in a little chair i had and so i did until she went to bed. then i took the doll and threw it into our storage room across the hall. my mom would check on me at night since after my dad passed id have nightmares a lot and she noticed the doll wasnt in my room. she, not putting two and two together, would go get the doll and put it back in my room quietly. so id wake up and BOOM this god damn doll would be right back where he was. this only happened two nights before i finally told my mom what happened. we still get a kick out of it to this day.

id be interested in seeing how much are joke questions about one post vs on base/questions i can value being considering how many other endless (many deeply personal and painful) posts i made before that popcorn post, @Mary V and @Kingjohn_654 better have some questions to balance out the bullshit so it dont irritate me lol. I liek to have fun and joke as much as the next person but I get deeply depressed just being seen as a clown or someone silly.

But enough about my bullshit. Back to the topic.
