@Shrek what's your favorite thing about living in Troy?

 

it's going through a real renaissance, at least in terms of food, bars, and places to increase foot traffic and thus dilute the crime and harassment. Just on my block alone I have - a deli, Jamaican, southern homestyle, sushi, an Asian-Hawaiian fusion place, a taco place, two pizza joints, Chinese, traditional asian (like, they offer English classes, it's an actual cultural hub), and my favorite is this amazing Halal place. there are a TON of cool bars, it's really an awesome place to walk out on a Friday night and see what happens. the last Friday of every month is Troy Night Out, this one is themed around beer tasting and shopping. it's gonna be a great date night.
