Alright I'm at work and gonna begin answering now, bear with me cuz there's definitely a lot haha but I'll answer everything today.

In late 2012 I went to Riot Fest with two of my good friends, Jake and Cassie. The Gaslight Anthem happened to be playing the show and were one of the bands I was most excited to see. Jake had told me before that Cassie liked me but I had been dealing with the stress of expecting a child with someone I wasn't with, and I didn't think she'd want to be a part of that experience, so I kept my emotional distance even though I thought she was great. We had a great time on the way to the show, singing along to Trophy Scars (I am on brand always) and goofing off. We got to the show and enjoyed the show, chillin in the grass (outdoor venue) as The Gaslight Anthem played. Jake wandered off and found some other friends while TGA was playing and me and Cassie sat and watched them while still goofing off. During "The 59 Sound" she decided to kiss me, and I of course reciprocated. It felt freeing, like everything was going to work out in this extremely difficult time because someone still believed in me. When we all left the show she told me to come back up to Denton and see her next week and I told her I'd try my hardest to make it happen but money was tight. She understood.

Fast forward to next week and I'm at dinner with some friends on Friday night, planning to come back up to Denton on Saturday night and see Cassie. I get a text from a friend asking what's going on with Cassie. I'm confused of course and tell her I haven't heard anything. This friend tells me that Cassie is in a coma and it's likely that she's not going to pull through. I drop everything and go home, I was too overwhelmed to think of doing anything else, of going anywhere else, of anything really. She did end up passing away after some time in her coma. I still regret not doing more, even as just a friend, to help. I regret not seeing her earlier and to this day I cannot listen to The Gaslight Anthem without remembering the whole story.

 

I don't know much about you, but based on your posts, I think you're a kind soul, you have strength in brevity and you are someone I could see myself enjoying.

Nier Automata:

This will be spoiler ridden so skip if you plan on playing NieR Automata.

Before I went through the original NieR, my favorite moment was the moment where (as 9S) the fight with Simone occurs. It was the moment where I knew there was going to be so much more to the game than I thought, even after ending A which in itself was full of heart. Conversely my most heart-wrenching moment was with Pascal and A2 in the abandoned factory, and everything that followed with Pascal after. Pascal is the character I see the most of myself in, so seeing his story was devastating.

After going through the original NieR, my favorite moments are Devola and Popola's manuscript after 9S enters the tower, and the ending Y monologue with Emil when he references Kaine and "the world my friend tried to save".

Laura:

We first talked about meeting when she mentioned she was going to go to a Cursive show, and my friend Austin's band happened to be the opening band. She was just visiting town at the time, considering moving. The show fell through for both of us but we got to meet again when Chase arranged a Chorus get together for the DFW group. My first interaction with Laura was hugging her outside Five Guys and her going "Oh, we're hugging now?" Hahahaha.

Purpose:

I think my personality attracts talent, and my purpose is to help voices louder than my own be heard. I think I have the ability to bring out the best in so many people, and I am fortunate to know some of the most talented, intelligent people on earth, and I want to use that to their advantage.

 

I would evacuate Kanye and Pusha easily. We all know the fire is going to completely ruin the crab boil as is, at this point it's unsalvageable and I'll save the father and the GOAT before I save a ruined boil.
