Well that was even better then I expected, holy crap. That last track alone just about floored me.

 

This has literally blown me away. How good is ouroboros? Sounds like a sequel to big bang

 

I’m excited to listen soon.
I’m surprised at the lack of I Am Gemeni and Mama, I’m Swollen love.

 

I've definitely come to appreciate them more over time, especially when I started to worry that we'd never get another Cursive album. What Have I Done is one of their absolute best closers.

 

The instrumental last couple of minutes of Dystopian Lament are just perfect.

 

It feels like they really let the instruments breathe on this album, rather than cutting some of the songs shorter. I'm in love with all of the textures and the way the keys and cello weave their way through the mix.

 

Yeah there are songs on this thing that didn't necessarily NEED to be as long as they are, but I'm glad they are. Ouroboros and NS/DL especially.

 

i need to spend some time with this before i really flesh out my thoughts but man that closer is epic

 

this album seriously rules.

 

Hey so uh the long read interview I did with Tim is up and I'm kinda shaking as I'm typing these words. This is a bucket list feature I'm thrilled I got to write, enjoy. Cursive: “Nihilism has been part of all the records we’ve written, but never so much as this one.”

I really enjoyed it. Well done. I was fortunate enough to see Tim play a living room show a few years back, and I was super nervous chatting with him at first. I'm so glad they decided to do more Cursive music, because there's definitely a place for it. If you told me a year ago that 2018 would see the release of a new Cursive record, and that it would be as good as Vitriola is, I wouldn't have believed you. What a time to be alive!

 

Yeah this is awesome. Really like the drumming and obviously the cello.

 

this album could not suit mood of current us political climate more. especially noble soldier/dystopian lament. hitting way too hard today.

 

God I hope they play “it’s gonna hurt” live goddamn.

Didn't realise a really good Dublin record shop had gotten a copy of the remastered Storms of Early Summer in, holy shit I'm so happy to finally own this!!

 

I'm liking it a lot and I can tell it's going to be a huge grower. I Am Gemini was to me as well.

 

this is BY FAR their best output since ugly organ. holy shit can't put it down.

 

I can say this about a lot of bands, but I feel like I've grown up with Cursive. When The Ugly Organ came out, I was at my lowest and most depressed. Vitriola is hitting me at a time when I'm older and doing alright *personally*, but I'm realizing the whole world has gone to shit.

 

the world is fucked. this album is everything we needed right now
