Thanks! No one cares but I’ll keep you posted on which one I pick up. Might go with two of them depending on how much I can’t decide lol

Single LP on a standard jacket? That’s disappointing for the price.

Was disappointed by the quality of the Twin record but they are selling it for $20 so can’t complain about that. Bummer about this.

    Went with the Glenmorangie @theagentcoma

Just getting ready to pour myself a glass and fire up the headphones.

I very rarely drink so I hope I don’t fall asleep before the album finishes :crylaugh:

Gotcha. Definitely don’t love that but glad it’s a 2LP. Gonna try my local record shop on Tuesday for a copy and if not I’m going to order online.

  11. Yeah it's whack but it sounds great and the blue vinyl is pretty (I'm sure pink is as well) so I won't linger on it too long

mine was supposed to be delivered today, but they took it back to the post office because i wasn't there to sign for it (i had priority shipping). had the roads not been icy and had i gotten off work a tad bit earlier and thus gotten my groceries a little bit earlier, maybe i'd have it today. luckily they're gonna try again tomorrow, and i'll be in my apartment all day because i'm waiting for someone to fix my internet.

That's lame, especially with how cool the art aesthetic is, wasted opportunity but I'm just amped overall

Listening to Ixora, still holds up so well, such a special record. These two back to back is one hell of a run

I can't believe my ears w/ As Above So Alone

song's like... indie prog jazz or something? like the drums coming in is a straight up Radiohead moment. wild

I know it’s annoying to compare anything to Radiohead, but here I go.

There are definitely sounds on this album that seem very inspired by Radiohead, but what’s striking me is the comparison to the evolution of both bands’ sounds.

Both bands’ earlier work has a more traditional, although still unique and special to each, sound that is beloved.

And then both bands got weird in the best way with experimentation, production, vocal affects, unexpected turns in each song.

They made great albums, and then they decided to not only push the boundaries for themselves, but for their genre as a whole.

I feel like You Are My Sunshine encompassed the perfect sound they were going for in their first era. Then after the hiatus, Ixora finished off a lot of that sound and started experimenting what would be fully fleshed out with Blushing.

That’s not to say there are no similarities to their older stuff, but this is like a new and improved, boundary-pushing Copeland.

The old stuff is awesome, but I think they’re plowing forward with something new and better, and won’t look back.

Sorry for the long post. I didn’t realize that would happen until I finished haha.
