Converge is an American metalcore band from Salem, Massachusetts. Formed in 1990, the group is composed of vocalist Jacob Bannon, guitarist Kurt Ballou, bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller. Their style blends hardcore punk with heavy metal, and they are considered pioneers of both metalcore and its subgenre mathcore. According to AllMusic, Converge are "regarded as one of the most original and innovative bands to emerge from the punk underground

Hope we get a new record this year. Phenomenal band.

Okay. So I remember giving these guys a shot when I was younger and super into polished post-hardcore. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get into them at the time and it's been years since I've tried. What would you good people recommend as a starting point?

All We Love We Leave Behind and then Axe To Fall. Honestly I'd just go in reverse release order.

Which is weird cuz they did a re release in 2010 and 2016 is the 12th anniversary. But I love the album. I just hope some kind of touring comes soon.

Still haven't really listened to You Fail Me, so now is a good time to finally get into it. I love Jane Doe, Axe to Fall, and All We Love, but I still need to listen to You Fail Me and No Heroes.

You Fail Me is arguably their best album. It's between that and Jane Doe. Although No Heroes is right up there, also.
