Should we rank our favorite Dean outfits?

That's the second best scene in the fifth season after Abed's Nic Cage impression

I hate the stop motion Christmas episode. That was the beginning of the downfall of the whole show for me.

I am due for a re-watch of thise show. I own 1-3 on dvd and have cherry-picked episodes but I think I need to do a full run.

Yep, S2 is easily the best imo

I loved the AC repair storyline, but The Chang Dynasty is my main (and only) complaint about S3.

Agreed, S2 is best. I respect S3 because it did some truly weird and goofy shit for a network sitcom at the time, but maybe leaned into that too much and forgot to be funny at the same time

S3 is (mostly) awesome, haters be fucked

Like, I really don't get what's so bad about it beyond a few duds, an excess of theme episodes and it simply not being as good as the two seasons before

I can understand why people don’t like season 3 because it gets really cartoony, but I think it’s still great and just a bit worse than the first two seasons

Season 3 would probably be my favorite season of any comedy if it weren't for the Chang dictator arc.

I didn't like how their zany/cartoon-like humor progressed in season two. There were pieces of it in the first season, but it didn't feel overloaded with it.

Man, season 6 was great. I'm dying at the opening of the email hacking episode with the cop

"What? You're just gonna keep the cop you've known for 5 years at arm's length?"

    "Any leads, officer Warburton?"
    "I want McDonald's!"
"Wants.. McDonalds. ...Some of you probably can't see from where you're sitting, it's literally a child in an adult-sized police uniform. It's cute, but it doesn't help our situation"

"Stoked for Avengers? Avengers? Avengers? I hear Marvel got really hands on this time, they really pinned in Joss Whedon creatively, so how can that go wrong?"

I don’t agree with the downfall part but I really hate that episode too.

Yeah I loved it, my only complaint is that Joel's acting was kind of bad on his "Ice cube head?" line imo, the timing of his speech there felt off

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

"There is skill to it. More importantly, it has to be joyful, effortless, fun. TV defeats its own purpose when it’s pushing an agenda, or trying to defeat other TV or being proud or ashamed of itself for existing. It’s TV; it’s comfort. It’s a friend you’ve known so well, and for so long you just let it be with you, and it needs to be okay for it to have a bad day or phone in a day, and it needs to be okay for it to get on a boat with Levar Burton and never come back. Because eventually, it all will."

this is still one of my favourite pieces of writing on, or about TV, by anyone ever. and Danny's delivery just leaves me a mess every damn time
