That sounds awesome! I assume it's a web comic?

I much prefer the non-superhero shit:

Chris Ware is god - everyone needs to read everything he has done
Big Questions by Anders Nilsen is the best book (comic or not) I've read in a minute
Leviathan by Peter Blegvad is some of the craziest shit out there - kind of a metaphysical Calvin & Hobbes

and there's Peanuts and C&H, of course

So many damn trades came out this week. Gonna have to hold off for a while until I have some cash. Bleh.

Jealous. Don't have money for Ramona. New work starts in 2 days so at least I only have to wait a few weeks to get them sweet paycheck.

In other news, anyone else reading Worst X-man Ever? Finale released today. (issue 5)

It was just kinda okay. I read the whole thing in digital and didn't think much of it.

Enjoyed it a lot but I think the ending kind of went over my head haha

  11. I'm not a big X-fan and picked it up mostly because of Max Bemis. Nevertheless, I've been pleasantly surprised. It reminds me a bit of the awesome cartoon from the nineties.

Hydra Cap explanation in #2 was so predictable (not a criticism) and should, but won't, make the preemptive haters feel really stupid. I'm not following the Cap titles but hope there's a nice Complete Collection of Spencer's Sam and Steve titles, Standoff, and the inevitable Sam/Steve crossover payoff; it should make for a good long deconstruction of who/what Captain America is.

Thanks, but I feel like there's a payoff coming that's been building since Sam Wilson: Captain America #1, and since I've been following what's been happening but not actually reading much of any of it, I'd like to wait for that before reading through it all.

Plus, I could see there being a nice "Captain America by Nick Spencer Complete Collection" trade series down the road, or maybe an omnibus, and I wouldn't mind having that.

I was a bit confused by the end of Batman RIP but thankfully I read the "missing chapters" and now it makes so much more sense.

  16. Just finished Batman RIP a few days ago and I felt a bit lost myself.. What are the "missing chapters" you're referring to?

Batman issues 701 and 702. I'm not sure if they were released in trade, I just read them online. It pretty much explains what happens after the crash and bridges the gap between RIP and the Butler Did It, and sets up what I'm assuming is the conflict in Final Crisis.

EDIT: Looks like they are collected in Time and Batman.

The last few issues of the Injustice: Gods Among Us series have been pretty good.

I finally got Black Road 3 and Divinity II 3, super excited to read those.

You guys like the new Batman run so far? I haven't been able to read it.

Same. That's part of what I liked about it. The X-men are slightly more self-aware and sometimes dickier versions of their 90s counterparts.

  20. Thanks, I'll check those out! That break threw me off as well but I just accepted it because Grant Morrison haha.

Exactly! But that ending...I think I liked it? Haha, I don't know what to make of it really.

Same. It's too open to interpretation.

could be that Miranda was just waiting for Bailey to finally do a heroic thing (which he did when he got angry at her for when she said she can't do it) and it took him years to do so. Kind of depressing though that Miranda at the end erased Bailey's timeline completely. Or maybe it's a hanging ending meaning we may or may not see Bailey in the main continuity in the futureBut honestly would want Max to elaborate on it.

I'm a pretty big DC fanboy but somehow skipped over Injustice until recently. Can't wait to get home and work through a bunch of digital issues tonight

I just purchased the first two issues of 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank and the first issue of Jade Street Protection Services. I am a big fan of Black Mask Studios (We Can Never Go Home was awesome and Space Riders was so much fun). Can't wait to dive into those tonight.

Finished the first trade of Ringside. It was alright. Kinda wish there were more wrestling stuff involved.
