Comedy Central to Release ‘Mitch Hedberg: The Complete Vinyl Collection’ in November

 

Agreed, both games were fantastic. I like Git 'Em, but kind of hope he's not gona be on every episode from now on

 

I'd love to get that book, but don't really see any need to own these on vinyl...

 

I took a bullet for y'all and watched some of the new Foxworthy special. I know a lot of you were ready to rush in there, but it's not worth it.

He released a special just after 9/11, I think within the same month? Either way, he opens that special talking about what happened and moves on rather quickly.

 

I watched it. He's always funnier than I remember him being, but never hilarious. Same with Larry.

 

I got about 10 minutes in before turning it off. He hasn't lost his shtick, that's for sure. I'm sure the same can be said for Larry.

 

It's pretty formulaic for sure, but I'm proud of them for not relying on their old catchphrases. I don't recall Foxworthy even using the word "redneck" and Larry only said "Git r done" maybe twice. The special was something easy to watch with my wife after a really hard day of work. I'll never watch it again, but I don't regret watching it.

More Doughboys talk on this week's HH. It's like every other episode at this point and I love it.

 

I've been back at a job where I can listen to podcasts while I work and been catching up on earlier eps from this past spring and summer. I still get a kick out of the two trying to paint the other as a racist/sexists/homophobe.

 

dont hate me but i gave up on doughboys because the episodes felt like they went on forever.

BUT i have been listening to a lot of Harris' best pod appearances and that makes me happy.

Also, seeing Todd Glass next week!

 

I could easily listen to a 6 hour doughboys ep.

 

I shouldn't say they go on forever, I guess I don't find anything interesting before they get to the actual food and it takes half the Ep to get there.


I'm open to trying again. I got up to the Tournament of Chompions

 

Old news, but caught the Rob Lowe roast last night. Absolutely loved it, everyone had good jokes and Patten and Jewel were so much better than expected. I loved how it turned into the Anne Coulter roast pretty much and those reaction shots like she had no idea what a roast was. I thought some of her jokes were pretty good until she tacked on political points on the end of them all which ruined them IMO. What a good time, I wish roasts happened more often.

 

I watched the first half hour of the roast and gave up. I'll probably finish it, but the non-stop pedophilia jokes were a little much.

 

Honestly my favorite part of doughboys is before they get to the restaurant. Nick and Mitch are just perfect together.

 

Also prefer the non-resturaunt talk. Love it all though. Would listen to 6 hour episodes every week

 

To be fair there's really not much else to roast Lowe about

That's fine... and I'm definitely not the type to think that certain subjects are off limits, but it was just constant and rather than shame him or condemn the behavior, they just all laughed at it like it was no big deal. I dunno... I guess my problem is more that I just didn't think most of it was all that funny.

 

Wolf of Wall Street is on FXX right now (I first saw it in theaters) and I just realized Middleditch is in this, he plays the employee who had the fish that Jonah Hill eats

 

Is that movie like a half hour long on FXX? I can't even imagine a censored version

But yeah felt bad for Middleditch when I saw it

 

They actually show quite a bit, haha. Aside from dropping the audio when swear words are uttered, they keep in the drug use and Leo's bare butt.
