Ann Coulter's set is more awkward than I imagined

 

pete davidson's response was fucking amazing

 

Considering the amount of jokes about his father, Coulter mistaking he's bi-racial seemed to genuinely upset him

 

for some reason Martin Shkreli is beefing with Patton

 

Rob Lowe roast was the weakest in a while but I enjoyed it. Jeff, Nikki, Carr, Pete, and surprisingly Lowe all had great sets

 

Yeah, not as funny as Bieber's or Franco's but Peyton Manning and Ralph Macchio were really the only...lowe...points (excluding hate-watching Coulter bomb)

 

I didn't buy that he was genuinely upset by that. He just didn't like the person who made the joke. The crowd was never going to laugh for Ann, even if she had some good jokes to tell (she didn't). She plugs her book, gets attention in the coming days. That was the "deal". Pete gets points from the viewers for trying to make her look worse. I mean, cmon, there were prior jokes by other roasters about his ambiguous racial background followed by jokes about him looking like a monkey. He wasn't bothered earlier because he liked the people who were saying the jokes. And that's fine.

One of the interesting things I noticed was that every roaster seemed to ignore the fact that Rob Lowe is now a kinda conservative dude.

 

The latest You Made It Weird with Mulaney is an absolutely outstanding listen.

Also, the latest TESD is one of the best in the show's history. Continually getting better

Did anyone catch Atlanta premier tonight? Not sure what to think of it. I used to love him but I eventually got pretty sour on Donald Glover. None of the ads tell me anything about the show so I don't really know what to expect.

 

I really liked it, I also haven't really loved him outside of Community but it was good

 

I really liked it but obviously I'm a massive fan of his. It actually had more jokes than I was expecting it to believe it or not

Roast was solid, a lot really strong jokes mixed in with usual filler. Jimmy Carr was great in this and Roast Battle, hope he comes around more often.

 

Listened to the first and it was whatever. It seems like a rip off of real life scifi. It's worth continuing?

 

Okay yeah I don't know what I was thinking. Atlanta is great.
