In a sense, yes. But the entire first season of Parks & Rec was mediocre at best, and it ended up being one of TV's best comedies. If you only watch or listen to shows that have good first episodes then you might miss some great stuff.

 

True but you can usually tell whether or not you'll enjoy a show by watching the pilot. If the 1st episode is a good sense of what the magic tavern is like then I think I'm going to have to pass.

 

Is the first episode of CBB what CBB is now?


Magic Tavern took till about episode 3 to really get me interested and then it was gold from there imo

 

I mean, to each their own. It's just too bad cause Magic Tavern makes me smile whenever I listen to it

Alright, I'm downloading the first episode of Magic Tavern since I'm having Doughboys withdrawals after binging it.

 

Seeing Louis CK tomorrow and could not be more excited

 

Pally and Yassir's new Fox show looks really funny.

 

I now feel like I've seen the entire pilot but wow that looks fantastic. Pally is the best and I'm glad Yassir is getting a high-profile gig like this

 

Just listened to Funcomfortable this morning. Thats a pretty solid special. Anyone else like it?

Also, I didn't think I would like Gabrus' podcast because of the way he describes it as such a loose concept, but I'm really enjoying it and he got me into Banshee.

 

Just got back from Louis CK and he was hilarious. It was the very first night of the tour so you could tell he was still workshopping a few bits but he was hilarious all the way through.

I was also very surprised when he came out in a suit and tie instead of just jeans and a black t-shirt.

 

Lauren Lapkus is pure joy and wonder in improv comedy form

 

Finally subbed to Howl, about to start up these live CBBs.

 

CBB Dallas was amazing. Lauren killed it tonight.

 

Lauren has been the best part of the live episodes that I've heard so far

 

The Dallas CBB show was great last night. Just being in the same room as PFT (and Scott, Lauren and Hanford) was something special.
