lol that's how I am right now. When I was younger and in college, I never procrastinated anything. Now not so much. I'm supposed to be doing some homework right now, but here I am on this forum listening to some music.

I got my bachelors like 5 years ago, so I think it's just me not being used to having deadlines and assignments like I did when I went from high school straight to college.

Got to my 1 o’clock class at 1:02 and it was completely empty. No note left on the door and no email saying it was cancelled soooo I dunno what’s up but ok

 

so that went...okay. I think. On one hand I feel like I studied harder than I even had to? and on the other hand I'm not sure.

Also, it's so stupid. He went on and on about how we would be writing the common names for the animals we are identifying. He mentioned this more than once and gave specific examples: if it's a picture of a salmon and you say bass, you get it wrong but if you just write "fish" you're right. (obviously if you write salmon you're also right, it's just a suggestion to be more vague and not shoot yourself in the foot) and we get the test and there is literally ONE question where it asked the common name. one! and guess what. it was the only one I didn't know! lolol cool! When I turned it in I saw that it was a wombat...which I was like ohhh but definitely wouldn't have remembered on my own.

I'm so salty bc I woke up from a nice nap to go to my night class and I got all the way there before finding out it was cancelled.

All my projects and papers are coming up fast and I can’t handle it

 

All I have left is a 2400 word paper to do by Wednesday and somehow it feels more insurmountable than it did when I had three other assignments on top of it

lol so I had a paper for my online class and it was a media use reflection paper like talking about the media we consumed at different stages in life which is like cake for me, but it had to have 5 sources and I was just like...nah. I literally didn't include anything or a reference page at all. the bibliography part is only 10 points so I was just like fuck it. If he tries to give me a lower grade I will fight it. I ain't including 5 outside sources in a paper about our own personal media use. insert eyeroll emoji here.

 

has anyone in here ever written a literature review for an IMRAD paper? never written either before, researched it a ton and it seems relatively straight forward, but honestly feeling lost while actually writing it since I don't know what a good one is supposed to look like. I'm also not sure how long it should be in relation to the other parts of the paper, specifically how much depth to go into during the lit review vs the actual meat of the paper. any insight would be appreciated but obvs don't worry about it if you aren't sure what i mean

ugh. I am so overwhelmed. Wish I could take some off work because I'm experiencing some serious burnout.

 

When I write 1000 words of my 2400 word essay in 50 minutes, I don't know if I should take it as a sign that I'm killing it or take it as a sign that I'm spewing some serious fuckin nonsense

I've made the decision to just drop all my classes, but I don't know what the consequences are yet. Really hoping I won't have to apply for readmission. The site says you only have to do that if you miss two consecutive terms, so I should be good, but this info could be outdated.

Anyways, I hope y'all are hanging in there. I know how brutally stressful the final stretch gets.

 

should be fine, i think that system is pretty widespread of having 1-2 semesters before you apply for readmission which is how so many people take the semester off. you should be fine. hope everything's alright dude!
