Dude nice, I know this is gonna sound like, “well duh,” but having a great professor is the best and makes all the difference. I feel so much more motivated to do well when I have a good relationship with my professor.

100% true. makes a difference when the professor is actually interested in what their students have to say and foster nuanced discussion as opposed to kind of killing all dissenting opinions because they don't match up with their own or etc etc. she's the best tbh i only missed these readings bc stuff's been piling up. i'm gonna do them tomorrow tho, i gotta sleep sometime

I’ve been interviewing for jobs the past two weeks and it’s stressful as hell. I don’t even graduate until May, this is just how competitive my school is. It’s annoying

I graduated last June but it's my girlfriend's final year, and her school is the same way. She's really stressed out because all of her friends are talking nonstop about jobs, but in her field (English/education) there's not nearly as much recruitment.

... to be fair it was just a brief lecture and then a screening of Forrest Gump. Baby steps tho

I skipped the second class of my Deviant Behavior course, and never went back last semester. Still finished with an A. The professor changed his syllabus because of me, though.

every year semester i tell myself to get perfect attendance. didn't even get past the second week this fall. it'd def be easier if i lived on campus, but honestly, that isn't always the reason lol.

i was about to go to bed thinking my japanese homework is all i had, only to find that i also have four pages worth of material to write in my semiotics class that i was previously unaware of. it's gonna be a long night

it doesn't specify if it's double spaced or not but to preserve my sanity im going to assume it is

I’m generally very good about attendance. This semester I’ve missed three classes. I don’t plan on missing more but we’ll see. I really hate when role counts towards your grade though, just lemme do my thing

i don't think i miss class for no reason most of the time, but i will generally stop going if the class feels like a waste of time. like, personally, i don't think i have to attend my 19th century brit lit class because global white dudes with the occasional appearance of a white woman has been beat into my head since grade school. not going gives me extra time to study for my japanese class, which is actually something that requires attention. attendance in brit lit isn't technically mandatory but the professor will do arbitrary in class assignments so that not going means you miss some busy work grade.

i considered going to sleep and saying fuck it to this assignment but i'd only sleep like four hours so at this point i may as well stay up and finish it. feel like after you get under like five hours, the amount of sleep you get is practically negligible if you're trying not to feel tired
