I know there's an issue with my financial aid but I haven't dealt with it because it's not real if I never look

 

I graduated college 7 years ago and had a dream like last night that I had two 40 page papers due that night that I hadn't started yet

 

Realized a week ago that this is potentially my last summer ever living under my parents roof.


Simultaneously stoked and terrified.

 

I don't have to move out for a couple more years -- probably not till I get my degree -- but I can't imagine making enough money to pay for those various bills like. Whoa

 

Did anybody's loans assist with off-campus housing? My biggest concern is making rent.

 

Mine were in a way that I could spend them on whatever I wanted; since my scholarship covered tuition, I chose to use them on textbooks and food, but I could've used them on rent, yeah

 

Spent all day at orientation. Excited to have my classes situated but also afraid I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I'm just concerned about making rent but I also don't want to work full time and burn out. Blegh.

 

Yeah I've got three jobs and I'm t-minus two months from having five classes and all I know is I'm gonna pay someone to punch me in really hard with a car when it's done.

For the record, I've done the whole work full time and go to school full time thing and I just don't think I can anymore

 

I'm not the most patient person and my lack of money and lack of degree both got to me at the same time. So you know, let's see what happens haha.

I've met with multiple financial planners and they all say the same thing...fuck your student loans. Minimum payments 4 life.

 

I paid off my high interest rate private loans quickly and now I'm on a 10 yr plan with my other loans. It bothers me they exist but I try to forget about them if I can lol. I hate when I get an email that the direct debit is gonna go thru and foils that plan tho. Just take my money and leave me to be delusional in peace!!

 

Loans don't bother me because I can't picture a future where politics and global warming don't conspire to kill us all asap

Honestly you don't need to care. Most people have them. It's considered good debt. Fuck it. If you hit the jackpot tomorrow I'd still tell you to buy a yacht before paying them shits off.

Trying to do my final but I'm too dumb. I'm supposed to design an 800 square foot room on graph paper. Then I have to design a classroom on it where every square of paper represents 6 inches so my furniture has to be to scale. But I have zero math skills so I'm overthinking it, and of course I procrastinated so I can't ask for help. meh. I think it's throwing me off cause like how do I make it 800 square feet on graph paper? While each square represents 6 inches? I think those are different things but I'm all mixed up!!!

 

if it helps, i think you have approximately 133 squares you can use in designing your room; im not great at math myself, but if we take 800 ft and divide by 6 that's what we get, so im pretty sure that's what you've got to work with. it's /probably/ that simple (i hope it is). hope this helps?

 

lol that does help, thank you!! I have such issues with math. I can do more complex equations but when it comes to easy math I'm like it can't be this easy, I must complicate it for no reason!!!

Thanks! I've actually done the world's most amazing feat and started part of the project today (creating schedules and listing classroom materials) and I just have to design the classroom tomorrow (which I'll try to start tonight too). If I was still in college I would have waited until like 5:00PM tomorrow to start it all and then stressed all night trying to stay awake and finish it haha.
