I just listened to Rush all the way through for the first time in a while the other day, and "In My Place" really stood out to me as my favorite song. It is so damn good.

When those effing drums kick in!!!

 

I've never given X&Y a full listen since the year of its release. Maybe I should do that.

This brightened the heck out of my day. Chris did an impromptu IG Live hangout and played some songs.

 

Song that didn't make the cut for Everyday Life. I actually enjoy this more than a lot of the album!

 

This song is phenomenal. I got my hands on it soon after the album came out, and its been on my version of the album since. I love the background singing that is kinda yelling but softly, maybe Will?

They’ve been recording a new album reportedly called Music of the Spheres, out this year I would imagine.

 

Yeah I'm definitely anticipating an album announcement when the single drops. Even when Everyday Life dropped I'm pretty sure Chris was saying that they were simultaneously working on a second album that was more radio friendly, and that the label made them move Orphans to EL so that they had an actual single to push.

 

Really hope I like the new song, didn't really enjoy their last.

 

Didn’t really enjoy the last couple records outside of a couple singles. Always optimistic for them though

 

It’s interesting the diverse perspective on Everyday Life. For me, it’s up there as my favourite Coldplay alongside Ghost Stories and then A Rush of Blood to the Head for nostalgia.

 

Everyday Life is probably toward the bottom of my Coldplay rankings, but I thought it was an interesting, exploratory record with a lot of promising sounds. Their only true miss for me is Dreams, and even that was 3-5 songs I like a lot.
