We reach for the longest shadow

I've somehow never seen Mastodon, and missed the Coheed/Mastodon shows a few years back, so I'm really excited.

I gotta wonder if that poster and title hint at a new Mastodon release too. Crazy lineup. They just need to hit the west coast now!

The Coheed/Mastodon/ETID tour is one of my favorite shows I've been to. Got to see it at the Summer Stage in Asbury Park NJ and the weather was peeeeeerfect for being outside right by the beach watching Coheed play as the last band into the night.

Poor baby, you're starting to lose it.

Coheed touring with Mastodon and Periphery makes me think V3 is gonna be their heaviest record in a minute.

I was trying not to read into that, since Coheed toured with BTBAM and Russian Circles when Descension came out, and that one wasn't particularly heavier than normal, but yeah, the same thought crossed my mind.

Good point. If not a heavy record, then I would love to see a harder-hitting setlist on this tour with the inclusion of tracks like Domino, Sentry, Gravity's Union, The Broken, Delirium Trigger.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

That's still the best tour lineup I've ever seen live.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

yeah that tour went hard. I was only vaguely familiar with Russian Circles at the time but seeing 'Harper Lee' live changed all of that

Wish I was familiar with Russian Circles at that time (finally started listening g to them later that year), but they were awesome when they opened for Coheed

Scored VIP floor tickets for Lexington. Two of my favorite bands of all-time, so it was a time to splurge!

    Taylor cover is premiering tonight:

My decision to include "Welcome To New York" in this covers collection is two-sided. First, in 2014, my son was born in a Brooklyn Hospital (Welcome To NY, Atlas! )… and when he became aware of this Swifty classic we listened to it even more so than when it was initially released, and if you know my wife, that’s a lot. The other side of my choice is…I love NY. When so many fled the city with uncertainty, my family made the decision to plant deeper roots here. There’s no place in the world like it and no place I’d rather spend my downtime. It’s a place that deserves all its tributes and songs. Maybe one day I’ll have one in me… until then, this will have to do.

It's my most played song of 2024 because of my son, so I totally get it

Not THE top song (I think for him that’s Ready For It) but my son loves it too. Taylor is for the kids.

ugh being a parent is so fun haha. When our son was almost 2, we were dancing to Welcome To New York and adding simple dance moves and he would participate and it's honestly just the best thing in the world

Pre-order bundle comes with a death certificate for Siv Trafinder. Seems to be an anagram. Siv Tra=Travis. Was the Coheed's beloved lead guitarist lost?

I couldn't find it at first because I didn't expect it to be a Coheed release, figured it would be Prize Fighter Inferno or just Claudio solo
