Imagine having songs like Vic the Butcher, Gravity's Union, and Number City and never playing them live. Every day I get closer to thinking that Afterman is collectively their masterpiece

Also Made Out of Nothing should be their obligatory YotBR rep and they should play it every show. Mother Superior also needs more love.

Overall, I think I prefer the setlist they did when I saw them with sheer mag

 

The Sheer Mag tour definitely put in deep cuts, but that’s usually the case for the small-ish tour before an album drop.

Also, Made Out of Nothing is one of my least favorite Coheed songs. I think it’s one of Claudio’s worst recorded vocal performances. I know this is very unpopular.

 

They have played Vic, Number City, and Gravity’s Union before. It’s been a while since they’ve played their first two, but they played Gravity’s Union in 2019 on their tour with Mastodon

that's fair re: made out of nothing too. It's my fave off of YotBR but I can see why someone might not like it

 

I feel crazy for thinking that though, so many people love it, and I just don't get it. If it was rerecorded maybe I could see it, because structurally it kind of falls into the same type of song as The Road and the Damned/Dark Side of Me/Beautiful Losers all of which I love.

there’s been quite the cluster on the Subreddit about this. Did they ever respond to your email? Some people who placed a preorder day of got their order canceled and can’t get the vinyl because it sold out, so they got refunded but were given the opportunity for something of equal or lesser value for free from their store.

 

I got a “we will prioritize it” email and then nothing. No refund or cancel yet. But it’s for sale other places now. Like if I’m never getting it cancel it now so I can at least get it other places before it sells out everywhere right?
