So much better re-watching Meg Myers' set in 1080 HD as opposed to a camera recording off of a big screen TV hahaha

 

Suggestions on sets?

 

The ones I took are CHVRCHES, Rancid, Meg Myers, Silversun Pickups, M83, LCD Soundsystem, Of Monsters and Men, Cold War Kids, Surfjan Stevens, The Vandals and Joywave.

 

I'd add Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, ZHU, and Flume to that list.

I watched the Grimes set when it live-streamed, and while I would probably like her albums if I listened to them, I wasn't all that impressed by her performance. Appeared to be lip syncing for parts of it.

 

Purity Ring. Saw them weekend 1 and loved their setup.

 

Joywave is from my area. A friend of mine's former band played a few shows with them back when they were known as The Hoodies. They started out as more of a power-pop/emo band kinda like Taking Back Sunday and early Weezer but since changing their name to Joywave their are more indiectronica/indie pop.

 

So jealous of @irthesteve seeing Ellie tonight. Have a blast!

 

If he sees Meg Myers on Sunday I'm gonna be super jealous hahah

A+ weekend, saw a ton of shows. Favs probably CHVRCHES, Grimes, Borns, Sufjan

made it to: Lapsley, Front Bottoms, Robert DeLong, Bob Moses, Borns, ASAP Rocky, Sufjan, Ellie, Snakehips, Purity Ring, Phases, Zella Day, Run the Jewels, CHVRCHES, AlunaGeorge, Vince Staples, Halsey, Grimes, Meg Myers, Cold War Kids, The 1975, Major Lazer, Alessia Cara, Anderson Paak (kinda, only caught the last 15 minutes which was all Dr. Dre), Flume and Calvin Harris

 

How was she? According to her guitarist it went better than last week's, but there was no live-stream so all I've seen of it were clips that she had on snapchat :/

 

She was good, first set of the day for my friends and I. I liked it about as much as the album which is half-half I'd say. She sounded great and had an awesome personality to boot

 

I personally like her two EPs better than her album, although her set last week seemed to focus more on the album (aside from Heart Heart Head and Go). Wish she would have played Adelaide, After You, Monster, and Make A Shadow.

I'm betting her set was more-or-less the same this weekend?

I honestly never made that connection, but now that you mention it hahaha. I think Meg is a bit hotter though

She performed on Conan tonight and she was practically dressed like Wednesday Addams (minus the pigtails) hahaha

Id hate to spend all of that money for a lineup I might not like. Then again, I'd hate to spend it on a festival period.

I'm no fun.

 

I do the early presale so I can pay in monthly payments. I also will go no matter what the lineup is mostly, I go as much for camping with my friends as I do for the music. Also, the tickets are as good as cash if you end up not wanting to go, easy to sell
