welp. just spend about $200 on that pair of chukkas and some chinos that I hope fit and look good. I love the ease of online shopping, but I hate the uncertainty.

 

I'm embarrassed to admit how much my most expensive boots cost.

I do like Zappos for online shoe shopping though. They've been nothing but fantastic the couple times I've used them.

 

I have stuff sitting in my cart to buy. A few shirts, a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and a skirt. All pretty basic but versatile to pair with other things for the warmer weather. It's hard to pull the trigger tho. I just got paid and basically my entire paycheck will go to my tuition bill this term. I'll still have money left over, like I won't die or not be able to afford my bills or anything but it'll mean I spent waaay more than I earned this month and I hate that, especially spending it all at once.

 

Well... as long as you look good in them!

 

Yeah I just dropped €53 on a bomber jacket, a grey jumper and a t shirt.

 

Is something lost in translation? What do you mean by jumper?

It's W X L not L X W when buying pants.

Oooops.

 

It's pretty nice when your W and L are the same. It's not nice when no one actually makes that size (me).

 

I'm actually 30 x 30, but I don't wear my pants as tight as I used to. I'm just trying to account for skinny/slim fits.

 

34/30 where regular jeans fit me like skinny jeans lol. I have huge thighs and calves.

 

I think only the expensive jeans/pants come in L x W for women. I'm probably wrong. I like having one number and petite, average, and long being options.

 

Women's sizes are so weird. I know when I'm buying a 32, I'm getting something that is 32 inches. Meanwhile a 2 in one store could be a 12 in another store. Never mind the fact that "petite" and "long" are even more subjective. No idea why they don't just use actual measurements.

 

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I don't shop online for clothes anymore and pretty much stick to the same brand bc I hate trying on clothes.

 

I legit don't know how to buy jeans bc of how stupid our sizes are. Haven't had a pair that fit properly/comfortably in YEARS. Plus trying on 10 different pairs in different sizes makes me feel like shit. I've migrated to leggings and yoga pants because fuck it.

 

yeah women's sizing is annoying. I'm a medium (in tshirts and skirts) at most places but then at H&M I'm a small and at Old Navy I'm an XS. And then pants are a whole other ballgame. I ordered pants online at Macy's in my usual size and they were huge so I need to get them tailored. I'm short and a lil curvier so finding things that fit everywhere is hard. I've heard shirts get made with B cups in mind so that doesn't work out for me either lol

 

oddly enough, I'm p sure I wear a smaller jean size at H&M than anywhere else

 

Idk mens jeans in shops are just as weird. Like I had one pair from a shop here and they were the perfect size 34S. 29 inch inseam. But I tried on the exact same pair in the same size and they fit completely different.

Even wider stuff when switching between stores but yeah as I said I have oddly shaped legs.

 

Jeans look awful on me. Strictly chinos over here.

 

Isn't that because of how they cut the jeans? I swear I've read that they have huge stacks of jeans they cut which impacts the sizing, so you could put on the same brand/line/size of jeans and they can fit totally different.

 

Probably I just get overly annoyed at jeans. I find it impossible to one nice fitting ones
