I went to this "streetwear" store here in town and I don't know how to explain it but it just felt weird.

It was cool seeing some of the shoes I really love like some of the Yeezys but yeah there was nothing really there for me.

 

was it an annoying/pretentious vibe?

I generally try to avoid stores, it can be crowded and... weird... but sometimes you just need to see/touch the stuff

and some stores are just really cool

 

this is basically what the store looks like. It hasn't changed much since this video. The customer service was pretty good. The dude was generally pleasant to talk to and there was no customers there besides me so it just felt awkward.

I also didn't really care for anything there besides the Supreme which they didn't have anything in my size.

 

I went to this skate shop and they had a OFWGTA polo shirt in bright turquoise. I tried it on half jokingly and it fit like it was literally made for me so I bought it lmao

 

If anyone is interested, i've started selling a brand called Jungmaven, which designs and is manufacturing in the U.S. using primarily Hemp and Organic Cotton. The fit and look is great, I love their solid tees and already bought 3.

Very nice. I wanna start getting more ethically made stuff since I pretty much only buy Target, J Crew, Banana, etc. Any other recs that are maybe a litttttlllleee less expensive than this? Just looking for a couple basic tees to start.

 

Price points like this are what you can expect to see mostly for clothing made in the U.S. and sold here. I believe Alternative Apparel has a core tee line that is made in the U.S., but they outsource for a lot of their stuff for at least assembly. They're a good brand I like, but that's one common thing we like to check with any brands we carry in store here. Some say U.S. fabrics, or japanese fabrics etc, but are assembled elsewhere because it's cheaper.

 

Check out Everlane and Kotn. Both have ethically made shirts at a decent price point. I can't speak for the quality of Kotn because I don't own any. I do own one of Everlanes's heavyweight tees and it's pretty nice .

 

A lot of European brands that produce locally are cheaper, especially if you're looking for basics. I don't know about shipping though, it would probably depend on the brand.

 

If we are talking favorite tees these take the cake for me.

I've been looking for a good white t-shirt. My undershirts are all see through, which I don't mind when they are worn as an undershirt, but I'd like to go out in a white shirt.

 

Haha, the down jacket I bought from them recently is everything. So glad I got it. I just bought a SmartWool shirt for $75, but the Patagonia one was a runner up.

 

Yeah I bought a winter jacket from there this year also! But I still browse the store when I’m in that part of the city. I’ll probably buy a zip up hoodie and a new hat for spring next time I go in.

 

Finding a good white shirt is so hard!

 

Yeah I need some good white tees. I have some from Uniqlo that I like but the rest are all old and cheap.

 

I just want a white shirt where you can't see my nippies.

 

ugh I had a really cute nice fitting white v neck that was also cheap, and I went on a cruise and my drunk ass spilled FRUIT PUNCH all over it. Red ass fruit punch. go me.
