I should rewatch. Definitely remember thinking a good amount of the writing and editing was bad at the beginning, but it also won me over by the end.

 

IMO the reveal in tusk is worth watching the entire movie

 

Anyone get tickets yet? I'm about to get tickets with couple friend. Idk why they do the ticket sales this way. Very select time and dates. For me it's 7 PM between 9/13 and 9/15. One showing. Whatevs im gonna go opening night.

 

I was obsessed with the View Askewuniverse movies in middle/high school. Clerks was the first dvd that i bought on my own. The older i got though the more i realized these movies aren't not nearly as good as I remember.

 

Clerks and Chasing Amy are timeless

 

Clerks and Clerks II are outstanding to this day.

 

I could still watch both Clerks, Dogma, Mallrats and the first Jay and Silent Bob anytime

 

I went to eat at a local restaurant where a scene from Dogma was filmed, sat at the exact table that Alan Rickman and co were sitting at and I told my friends about it. As they talked about the movie, none of it was familiar. I honestly think I’ve only seen that one scene in the restaurant and just assumed I saw the whole movie

 

Chasing Amy is very inhibited by time lol, it may have aged most poorly of all the Smith films which is quite a feat. Still enjoy it to some extent but I think a modern take from a queer or bi director would be much more interesting.

 

Got mine for opening night as well. Going alone, which I don't mind. I have a soft spot for Smith although I really only think Clerks, Clerks 2, and Dogma really hold up. (I also like Red State and Tusk, but that's another story.)

I watched an interview from SDCC and Kevin said this would be very reference-heavy. I just hope it’s more clever references than the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. I thought that felt like the most pandering feature I’ve ever seen. I want JOKES, dammit.

Kevin should just go back to doing episodes of DC shows lol

 

Maybe I'll leave work early and try to catch a showing of Barbarian before this
