did you get yours in? i got mine in, but i'm seeing a ton of people with a blue sealed envelope in theirs, and i guess i didn't get that in mine, so i'm curious about its contents.

I got it yesterday. The blue envelope has a flyer/newsletter thing that appears to be written by Mat. It’s basically a quick introduction to the Ciz Society plan and some state of the band stuff, it’s nice but by no means something I’d be upset about not getting.

I can post a picture of it after work if there’s interest.

 

I like this song but not mad about it.

last one grew on me hugely though so I’m sure this will do the same.

 

Bass line sounds like it could be on EIGTH

2/2 for me, love the direction they're going. The bass tones are always so good too, they just drive their songs for me.

 

cool song, cool video. the unamped electric guitar into the bassline was a rad idea.

 

I didn't realize people were kinda down on As You Please, that record was the first Ciz record I truly liked start to finish since Young States. I liked Youth enough but thought EIGTH just didn't work as well as it could have. I'm actually more of a fan of Mat's solo stuff than Ciz.

I'm liking the new songs a lot, I actually don't think they're that different from previous stuff. Some cool ideas here. I still wish the drums in their songs were a little less plain, but that's just the drummer in me.

 

I love As You Please, but I'm starting to think this is their second best after Youth
