I think world will be a favorite- some really cool guitar effects on this chorus.

the album art is super simple, but for some reason it really works for this album.

 

I forgive no one is def one of those songs that combines the abrasiveness of EIGTH with the catchiness of YOUTH

I'm certain I will! I'm still not a big fan of EIGTH, it might grow on me, but it does have their best song in their career so far (Ring Of Chain). I've only heard Jet and In The Middle Of It All once each haha, but enjoyed both! Really glad to hear you're liking it so much!

First time listening to the title track and I'm in love

 

Went on a walk with my wife while we both listened on headphones. Best first listen Ive had in memory. World, Control and Discrete Routine were my favs out of the ones I hadnt heard.

 

Aww man i've been out all night still haven't heard this thing! But glad to see it was worth the (long) wait

 

Very positive first listen. Was paying zero attention to song titles so idk what was what but I wasn't disappointed by a single song. This was like the perfect balance of familiar and fresh. I like this a lot immediately and can tell it'll only continue to grow on me. I just love Mat's voice so much, his vocal melodies always hit such a good spot, to the point where I listen and just can't help but think he must have gone through a hundred different ideas and truly nailed down the best one possible. Rhythm section is tight as ever but on first listen did not particularly stand out to me as much as other elements. The guitars beat LP1 and LP2 by a country mile though, those dudes really stepped it up all around.

The end of ITMOIA really fucked with me lol, I did not expect that at all

Well yea it's definitely safe to say this didn't disappoint, and will definitely be an album I love more each time I listen to it. That last 4 track run is something else entirely. Medicine stuck out on first listen too.

Haha probably, I think this is the best album this band can make. I don’t think it’s going to land in my top 5, but it’s certainly going to be in my top 10. I really enjoy it and I think it will grow on me a ton; maybe it ends up higher than I realize. This year has just been absolutely insane, I can’t believe how much amazing Music has been released, and this album is no exception.
