Why is this album rollout seemingly so long?

Didn't realize we had like 6 weeks still.

 

It's been 6 weeks since My Enemy dropped and the tracklist reveal was the same week so I think it only really started around the end of February. 3 month rollout is pretty standard on a major label or a subsidiary like Glassnote. Plus we already have 3/13 songs revealed and will probably get two more before the album's out. It feels long because in the grand scheme of things rollouts have gotten a lot shorter.

 

But “Get Out” was released end of January, so it’s more like 4 months (this new track makes 4 released).

 

Song is definitely top 40 meets Chvrches, but I don't think it's as bad as some in the thread have made it out to be. Will agree it's lower tier Chrvhces though.

 

Wait there's 4 songs out?? Get Out, My Enemy... what are the other two as I think I'm fine not hearing them until the album drops. oruntilIgetsentareviewcopy

 

Not nearly as bad as a whole as I expected, but yeah, not feeling that chorus at all.

 

You’re missing “Never Say Die” (and the one we’re talking about “Miracle”).

 

I haven't really been into the two songs I've heard. They didn't hook me like their previous albums.

 

Oh god that’s not a good song.

 

I don’t hate it. The chorus could be a lot better tho.

The chorus reminds me of present day FOB in a very bad way.

 

I actually thought this song was pretty great. It has the potential to get huge on pop radio imo

 

I’m not at all into this, which is a bummer. I haven’t liked any of the singles, really. Just feels like something is missing.

 

It's kinda just, "meh", which is the problem here. Pretty much everything from the first two Chvrches albums was significantly better than "meh".

 

^ agreed. yeah this is bland as hell to me.

 

Dang I really like the pre-chorus, but the chorus itself isn’t exactly the best. It’s not offensively bad or anything, idk maybe it’ll get better with time.

 

it's not like this is the first time they've flirted with top 40 pop sounds, their entire sound has been rooted in big pop music since day one, I think this just falls flat in its execution

 

Yeah pretty much how I feel besides the song with matt b. They just don't excite me the way past singles from previous albums did.

 

They’re doing a lot of singles for this huh?

 

Miracle has grown on me honestly. That first little bit from the chorus with the chants I could do without but the vocal melody for the rest of I’ve come to really like.

 

^^ exactly that. the chanting background vox started getting annoying a long time ago, makes it feel almost dated in a way. rest of the song is great, all of them have been hits for me so far.

 

It’s grown on me too. I like it more than Get Out :O

Video is wack but the song grew on me

 

Miracle has grown on me as well, but still pretty lackluster and disappointed because of how much I loved TBOWYB and EOE

I really like Get Out too but it just doesn't feel the same as the last record, something is missing idk
