i'll probably submit a song or two for the originals! been hankering to bust out a couple of pop punk jams or something just to get my writing juices flowing a little bit again. after the last originals comp we did i sorta hit a writer's block that led to me starting a lot of songs and then never finishing them, and then growing to dislike them over time lol. musician to musician, i'm sure you know how that goes! just need to get back on that horse!

How the fuck do I write a chorus

 

What is the song trying to say?

The thesis of the song is typically found in the chorus.

Or Maybe the song doesn't need one.

 

I usually write the bridge and chorus before I write the verses.

 

I only know how to write choruses haha

 

Write a killer chorus, and then make that into your verse and write a better chorus

 

I feel like I usually write a chorus that I think is pretty solid and then don't know how to write around it, and then after it's too late and the song is old news to me I realize it was really a bridge all along lol

I'm tempted. I'm definitely hearing aggressive vocals over these tracks though, which is not my wheelhouse. Do you have a specific vocal style in mind?

 

What kind of quality are we talking for these? I have an old tune I’d like to submit but it’s essentially a rough demo recorded on a multitrack with its built in mic. Won’t have time to clean it up but i do like how it came out for what it is.

 

I'm submitting a song I recorded on a cassette tape 14 years ago. So you can basically put a piece of literal shit on this if you want to. Haha
