if Linkin Park win, I should probably camp out here in hope the song I want doesn't get picked by someone else.

 

LP has a pretty strong lead... not a giant gap but I think they'll win it.

I've got 3-4 songs in mind. Going to put them on a playlist and listen throughout the day while I decide on 2.

If theirs an upset I already know what I'd pick from the other bands.

A Place For My Head

Still debating a second song. What's the consensus on songs from Collision Course (the Jay-Z / LP mash up record)?

 

Ahhh this is so tough to choose! Not just because they have so many amazing songs, but also Chester has one of the toughest voices to cover.

For now I'll say I'll do Shadow of the Day.

I have NO idea what to cover, haha. I'll probably do a blind cover of one of their songs.

 

This is tough, going to need to think about this one for a while.

 

I wanna do points of authority

 

I'm going to try 99 Problems (a mashup of points of authority and one step closer). POA was one of the ones I was debating but after listening to Collision Course today I'm all about the 99 Problems one.

 

This is gonna be interesting. I'm still learning Logic so I can't wait to play around with this.

 

Getting deep into production is one thing I've been pretty excited about for an LP tribute. Simple tracks to record and then having fun with effects and editing.

And the end of POA is my favorite part of that whole record. The spliced up vocals and volume swell guitar sound sooo good.

Very tempted to try a song for this. Never done one of these cover comps but this could be fun. Hard to pick a song though when you suck at singing hahah.
