Her block was ploughed like every 10 minutes lol. She is sooooo fucking petty. I can’t wait to vote against her.

Mine still hasn’t been plowed. Kedzie, Diversey, and Logan are all plowed, so if you can get out of the neighborhood in any side you’re in the clear. Getting out and coming into the neighborhood is a chore though.

I’m on one of the side streets near Irving Park/Damen. Plow finally came through ln it looks like, but also left an 8 inch wall of snow running parallel to the curb next to my car for the entire length of the block. So I called off work lol

Lol mercifully, I have a job where I can kind of make my schedule. My buddy works at Reckless Records though and he wound up having to walk because his car was blocked in and the buses are running late/not the safest option during covid.

I am at Western/Winnemac and Western is clean as a whistle. Winnemac is the complete opposite.

I found out I'm going to be in 1c due to my job, whenever that is. Probably 2022 at this rate

Anyone got a favorite bakery? I’ve only been here for a couple years and usually go to Roeser’s because it’s close to me and I like old bakeries. But I’m open to branching out for Paczki Day this year.

My dad is eligible as well (over 65) and we have had no luck getting him an appointment in the city. I understand supply is limited compared to demand, but it's been frustrating. My mom was able to get the vaccine because she regularly works with homeless people and was able to find open appointments but it's nearly impossible now.

Dinkel's in Roscoe Village is good. Spoken Cafe, the cajun breakfast/lunch place near me in Ravenswood, also does paczkis plus some other stuff.

I just ordered some, along with their Paczki Stout, from Marz Community Brewing: Marz Community Brewing Company - Chicago, IL | Tock

Scafuri on Taylor Street is excellent: FAT TUESDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2021

So is Kolatek's on the West Side:

Most of the old Polish bakeries on the south west side that we would go to when I was a kid are closed now, unfortunately.

I live in Lincoln Square, we have (and I recommend): Geraldine's, Baker Miller, Cafe Selmarie, Lutz Cafe and Bakery. The latter feels like it is out of 1965 and I love it.

Just looked at the forecast. Jesus christ.

At least we know February is the worst month of the year, weather-wise.

I know they have units all over the city, but I have an offer from Beal Properties for a new apartment. Google has very mixed reviews on them, some 5 stars and some ones. Anyone have any insight?

I do not other than if i recall from looking at apartments, i think they might be one of those companies that adds a monthly maintenance fee that is annoyingly not included in the list price. Don't take my word on that, but might be something to watch out for or double check

Yeah, it started slow here, but within 10 minutes it was pretty heavy. Hopefully it stops this evening before the bitter cold so I can get it cleared.
