I'm not that familiar with her work at this time but Pop 2 and "Boys" are the best things she's done from what I've heard. After weeks of not listening I kept thinking about Backseat and Out of My Head and decided to drive deeper into the album. Really excited for the next full length.

Her earlier albums don't have the same appeal to me (Boom Clap is obviously a fun song but nothing too impressive)

 

You should really listen to Number 1 Angel

 

Have listened before, checking it out again now and Dreamer and 3am are so damn catchy.

How do you feel about the first 2 albums?

 

I actually really love them. I can understand how people in this thread are drawn to the forward thinking stuff on Pop 2, but I think she’s always been consistently great. Boom Clap isn’t that representative of Sucker, I think songs like Need Ur Luv, Doing It and Body of My Own are what makes that album great. True Romance is also fantastic, Nuclear Season is one of my favorite songs of hers.

Also it goes without saying that if you like Pop 2 and N1A, you need to check the Vroom Vroom EP

 

I'll probably just do a full discog listen at this point.

Just watched the vroom vroom video posted recently, also great.

 

God damn Pop 2 just keeps aging like a robot that's developing a deep neural network. Its beautiful

#1 Angel grew on me and is a good mixtape but Pop 2 might be my favorite pop album I've ever heard.
