I Want To Guard You From Boredom is probably my favorite song he's ever done. This is my second favorite album of his at this point, but it may become my favorite soon. I didn't listen to it much so I didn't wear it out before everybody else could hear it

 

everyone i've gotten to listen to this album today, including people who i didn't think would really care for it at all, like it a lot. i'm really happy right now, haha.

 

It's so weird to me that Purity Ring came out of Born Gold and launched into fame when Cecil's music has always been so much better and remained pretty largely in obscurity

 

everyone that likes this record PLEASE listen to this so it can finally get the love it deserves

 

pls don't slander purity ring tha gods

 

Cecil's music has always been far more interesting and I will die on this hill

 

i still don't think i ever listened to that one in full

i obviously really dug bodysongs and then i listened to little sleepwalker because that came out right after i saw him live and i was so blown away

Synth blasts in the opener give me life

 

this fills the hole in my heart from the lack of new sharpless music

@Joel you don't happen to have the born gold version of hyphen do you? i never heard it and i'm trying to find it

wow boredom hasn't changed since its original version in 2014, interesting.

 

no! I saw Boredom was an old song today as well but I haven't heard either, I only have the three proper albums

edit: that's wild that it's the same

 

oh wait just kidding, this one has more glitchy parts in the second verse.

 

chorus sounds way better on the new version as well

he obviously used a lot of the same parts but he changed around a lot. it almost feels like a remix

 

I didnt even realize from people on this site pay attention to this / i just know him from playing TINY venues here in Edmonton as a local artist. cool.
