Does anyone else's cat catch treats in their mouth like a dog or do I have a special little girl?

 

My cat won’t eat treats at all unless they’re presented to him in the palm of your hand because he’s royally/an absolute snob

 

One of mine doesn’t even like wet food. Couldn’t imagine trying to get him to eat a treat lol.

The other 2 will devour most anything indiscriminately.

 

Just got a cat water fountain, highly recommend Chester immediately loves it I've never seen him drink so much water

after our baby boy freaked us out with a bout of FIC recently. he’s also the one of our two who seems to like wet food less (but fucking hoovers dry) but we’ve mostly been able to get him to eat wet every meal now with some kibble sprinkled on top thankfully

we had some goofy plastic ones where the water came out of a flower that got super gross. that one looks a lot nicer, might have to grab one.

 

Yeah it seems relatively easy to clean which is what I wanted. The one I had before was one of those jug ones in a plastic container that fills automatically as they drink but it was hard for my to fit my hand in the back to clean. They recommend every two weeks in the instructions for this one. Most importantly Chester likes it so that's the main thing!

 

Fountains are a game changer. Our cat hated drinking from her bowl but liked drinking from our cups, so I’d have to leave out a couple pint glasses full of fresh water in random places to make sure she was getting water from somewhere lol. But she’s a slurp god with the fountain.

Rory refuses to drink out of his bowl unless it's absolutely necessary, he prefers to be a faucet drinker but then he drinks so fast that he throws up. I tried a water fountain that was cordless to avoid him chewing the cord, but he's such a chaos monster that he kept knocking it over. It's a pretty great fountain if y'all have a cat who doesn't try to destroy your sanity.

my cat loves his fountain, he puts his paws in it and leaves toe-bean prints all over the kitchen floor

 

My friend gave me a fountain but it was pretty shitty. Need to get another one though because Jesse always wants to drink out of the bathroom faucet and not his bowl.

 

I started volunteering at a shelter a few months ago and lemme tell ya, my mind is more at peace when I am there with all the cats than any other part of my day. I love it.

 

I got The Downward Spiral on vinyl. Rory got a box.

 

It still works I just got tired of having to clean it lol luckily Luna still drinks from her water bowls regularly

My boy Rory was put to sleep this morning after discovering he had a brain tumor that ruptured--this was sudden, I had no clue he had anything wrong with him and I'm absolutely devastated. Please hug your babies a little tighter tonight.

 

I'm so sorry, that's awful to hear. I'm sure you gave them the happiest life they could have lived

 

went through a similar situation with my childhood cat. one of the worst feelings in the entire world...i'm so sorry.
