    hmmm

I'd be quite happy with no vocals on this album. Great record.

Awesome, it's been a while since I've seen The Raven live! Can't wait for them to come to The Sinclair in Cambridge in a few months.

This is a p good setlist. Although, I could honestly do without Quovis/Further Up/Further In and The Raven.

It’ll sound typical, but I’d rather have Halls of the Summer and Sycamore, but my date isn’t until April so the setlist could change quite a bit.

Pianos Become The Teeth is also playing my date so I imagine they’re gonna try to play Nostalgist.

  5. Justice for Sycamore imo

They’re playing all the new songs that I want to hear the most though so that’s v rad. I have to imagine those new songs will carry over into the spring tour since they’ve gotten them rehearsed enough to play them now

I'm really happy with all the news songs they're playing, plus like what @socklord said I want to see Nostalgist since PBTT will be on the tour I'm seeing. Very stoked for this show.

I haven’t seen them play Sycamore since the Underoath tour. I don’t think they’ve played it since Justin started playing drums in the band. I wish it was always there, but maybe they just grew tired of it.

They actually did play The Ravenwhen they were last out here on the Katatonia tour so I wouldn’t have minded a different cut from Tertia.

Arcs into Collapser was no joke. I thought they would have spliced a breather of a song in between.

amazing show. Glad I’m getting it two more times

I haven't listened to Tertia in so long. I remember i was really not a fan when it came out--guess I should try it out again.

The mix of Tertia is whack, but a lot of those songs are really good

The first song I heard of theirs was Of Foam and Wave but didn’t really get into them fully until Waking Season, the mix is a big part of it. There are great songs but it’s not the best sounding record, especially the heavier parts. For a while I only listened to Sycamore/Vienna/Concrescence.

I completely agree. I remember checking this band out back in 2010/11 when I started getting into the genre, but none of their early stuff really clicked with me. Always thought they were just solid. Waking Season grabbed me immediately though and I've been a big fan ever since. At this point, I do think Tertia is a good album, and so is The Four Trees, but I mostly only listen to their material from Waking Season to now at this point.

Tertia still has plenty of great songs and moments though. Sycamore is a classic, but I also love Ghosts of the Garden City, Of Foam and Wave, and Concrescence. I just wish the mix was better and I'm pretty sure the band has admitted that they feel the same way about it too.

I think Epochs in Dmaj is a pretty good underrated track from Tertia, but I’m not sure if they’ve ever played it live.

I liked Tertia originally, but it hit me in a totally different way about a year ago. While the production has issues, there's something really deep about those tracks that just clicked with me. Esp Concrescence and Ghosts.

Good to know. I'll put it back on next week and check it out. Maybe it'll click after 10 years.

Malacoda is one of their best songs, period. That melody at the end is so gorgeous.

    Tertia songs are monsters live.

Phil said that they were going to let Sycamore rest for a while. Maybe it'll pop up again soon.

Anyone want to see if this download for Castles High, Marble Bright works? I bought it both on Bandcamp and then the vinyl when it came out so I only used one.

I’ve had this for a few years so I’m not sure it’ll work or not, but give it a try.

This is my favorite post-rock album since The Wilderness, and it might be even better. (Speaking of which, can we please get a new EITS record?)
