    Not a bad jam at all! I don't love it though, on first listen. "Back on my beat" will be stuck in my head all day though. Definitely has ABBA influences in the vocals.

    Yeah, the song is fun and okay. Doesn’t seem to soar like most of “Emotion.”

    I wonder if this is the song about masturbation that she hinted at writing with Bonnie McKee during the “Emotion” sessions.

    This song makes me feel the way I felt about Green Light the first time I heard it — not exactly what I was expecting, a little repetitive, still solid but not especially catchy. And then Melodrama was awesome and that song grew on me a ton.

    First listen was decent.

    Second listen, knowing what kinda song to expect & w/ the volume turned up a little more, was better.

    It's not the kind of jam I initially expected from a first single named "Party of One," but it is another good Carly Rae Jepsen song, which is something that'll always make me smile. I'm ready for another full album of material from her.
