Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion (June 24, 2015) Album

Still listen to this on a regular basis. If marketed right, I feel like it should have been the 1989 of 2015.

It absolutely should have been. I wholeheartedly agree.

 

I saw CRJ this weekend and it was a blast! She's fantastic.

 

I missed that we had this thread! Anyways, this album is my jam. A very well-rounded complete story about the rise and fall of relationships. I love how this really has a song for every stage of relationships, including endings.

 

So glad I finally gave in and gave this album a listen last year, was weary to hear a full length from her but boy am I glad I did

 

Kiss is also very good, though not quite in the same way or the same heights that this is

 

I did go back to that one and found more than a few things I enjoy. Most of it actually, other than Good Time which is the worst. Tiny Little Bows, Guitar String/Wedding Ring and Your Heart Is A Muscle are so great

 

One of my absolute favorite albums from last year. Made me sad how few people were there for her show in Charlotte last month.

 

Best pure pop album of 2015

 

Yeah this had the same lasting power for me as 1989 the year before it. I still listen to this album almost every week, it's just so damn good.

 

In addition to being amazing, I love that it was a high profile gig for Dan Nigro of As Tall As Lions

Seeing her in Providence RI in a few weeks and I'm so stoked. I was surprised how much I fell in love with this album.

 

Even reading the title of this thread was enough to get Gimme Love and Boy Problems stuck in my head. I don't know how I haven't bought this yet.

 

I'm kind of bummed because even after I washed it, the (supposedly) small shirt I bought when I went to see her still almost goes down to my knees

 

I love this album. My friend and I were just talking about her. He's a big fan of Kiss and loves Call Me Maybe, and he said "I feel like this album's just flown under the radar a bit." I was like "You and me both, man."

I've seen Run Away With Me under the Top Hits or Today's Hit playlist on Spotify, but that's about it.

When I bought it it looked big and I just thought I'd wash it, it'd shrink a bit and I'd roll the sleeves and it would look cool. But it's just flat out too big. Gonna be great to sleep in though
