yeah, that basically is what I am getting at lol. Like.... Emotion Side B sounds like she had too many songs to fit onto an album, so she released more. Dedicated Side B sounds like she made the album, then released songs that weren't album-worthy

whatever, Dedicated blew my mind so anything else is just a bonus

it’s just mind boggling that I can’t find one song that clicks with me :’(

 

I think there's a good bunch on here that are better than stuff on the actual album. It's probably the same ratio as Emotion Side B for me.

 

Most of the songs on Side B sound album quality to me lol

 

I definitely like the ones I posted about, and I think California is the only thing on B that WOWs me, but the production feels a bit unfinished

 

man i feel almost the complete opposite. i'm not arguing the quality of the emotion side b tracks, i love every one of them (store forever), but they do kinda sound like b-sides to me. dedicated side b feels more polished and i think almost every one of those tracks would stand up just fine on og dedicated.

 

I think everyone can at least agree that Cut To The Feeling is an album worthy song

 

my top 5 are, in order of how they appear on the album:

summer love
fake mona lisa
let's sort the whole thing out
comeback
solo

ok that was 6, but yeah

 

Her second best song imo. Don't think it really fits the Emotion vibe though.

 

Yeah she says that's why it was left off. It's in my top 5.

Haha, I dunno what to say then! I can't imagine any of the B songs being placed in Dedication without them standing out as the low point of the album

 

My top 5 overall is probs:

1. Real Love
2. Run Away With Me
3. Cut To The Feeling
4. Emotion
5. Solo

 

I have two moods and they are Real Love and Solo

 

not gonna give up on side b bc Carly but it’s gonna take time... we’ll see...

hard to focus on it with Haim, Phoebe & Hum releasing killer albums these past weeks, not to mention Charly & Grimes earlier this year

 

well if you don't even know the name of the album then i definitely don't trust your opinion on it, steve.

dedicated > emotion > emotion side b > dedicated side b

all great

 

I don't know if I can rank them because I love them all...

Dedicated > Emotion > Dedicated Side B > Emotion Side B

Also with noting that Dedicated Side B was 3rd on my mid year AOTY list, that's how much I love all these lol

 

this altho 1 & 2 switch places all the time for me

 

Emotion = Dedicated > Emotion Side B > Dedicated Side B

I go back and forth on Emotion vs Dedicated. Emotion is more iconic but I think I like more of Dedicated.

 

Emotion > Dedicated > Emotion B > Kiss > Dedicated B

 

There isn't a single song on Kiss that's better than the worst song on Dedicated Side B
