This was great, people in here talking about it in reference to Thor and First Avenger.... like this wasn’t a top 3 origin film

 

Really solid. Brie is great, some cool visuals, pretty good action. Wasn't into a lot of the humor, but Ben Mendelsohn was fantastic and made me laugh the most.

 

All the skrull stuff was really cool.

 

This was fine. About on par with stuff like Doctor Strange and First Avenger. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of Carol

 

Damn those shoes are dope.

 

Since I saw Bloodline S1 I automatically love anything with Ben Mendelsohn in it (same goes for Kyle Chandler).

He was great here as usual, bit of a different role for him too.

 

This was the second-best MCU origin movie behind Iron Man by a mile

 

excellent time.

felt like a mix of the first avenger and doctor strange with a sprinkle of iron man 3!

the characters are so great that it can mask the clunky way we get to the finale.

Need Talos-centric Skrull show on Disney+.

Scratch all the other MCU shows they already announced too.

I didn't realize that Larson was so young! Not that she doesn't look young by any means, she's just been working for over 20 years now and is still only 29. Pretty crazy.

 

Well they reviewed it without seeing it, but they're buying tickets to Alita Battle Angel to own the libs lol

 

Are they buying tickets to that to "prove" that they like movies led by women? I haven't kept up with that side of this shit, ugh

 

No it's just the only other action movie in theaters

 

Seeing it again today, which is great considering that it's International Women's Day.

Tonight my wife and I are cosplaying at a theater in Long Beach (by invitation... not just showing up in costume for shits and giggles) as Spider-Man and Captain Marvel. I think we also have an old school Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel in the black outfit joining us. I'm really excited to see how everyone responds to seeing Carol cosplayers after seeing the movie. I'll post pictures if I'm able to.

 

I meant that there are still going to be theaters full of white men, angry or otherwise, this weekend regardless of the review bombing lol

 

The joke is certainly on them by wasting their time seeing “Alita.”

it made 20.7 million last night so all the negative reviews dont mean shit. its still gonna have a massive debut between 135 million and 175 plus million depending on how the days fall

 

I hope it beats BvS for the highest March superhero opening weekend at $166 million.

 

Is this enjoyable for someone not big on the MCU and seen about half of the movies?

 

Still haven't seen this yet but I'm guessing if you've seen Infinity War and know who Nick Fury is, you should be fine
