Something I didn't realize, :panther: identity is public info now, right? Or are we assuming his reveal plus subsequent arrest were hidden from the public?

Hahaha my friends and I made a staircar joke during that scene too. I should have known the Russo's would do that. So rad.

I've never seen the 2nd Captain America movie & I know this is probably a stupid question considering the movie is called "The Winter Soldier" but how much screen time does Bucky have in CA:WS? Because I love Bucky but I can't stand Captain America

It's literally the movie that made everyone love Captain America. It was so good it helped redeem parts of the first movie for me. It's considered one of the best Marvel movies by almost everyone. Just watch it. It's only like 2 hours of your life. Even if you hate it, trust me, you'll survive haha I'm sure we have both seen way worse movies.

Finally got around to this. Thought it was not as good as Winter Soldier but still pretty great. However, was I supposed to hate Cap by the end of the movie? Because I kind of did. Was rooting for Tony the whole final fight

  10. ^I had the opposite sentiment haha. Went in rooting for Cap and came out the same.

the (many) differences b/w the comic and movie. entire video is spoilers for the movie, of course
(edit; i realized just after posting this that this is about WS, not Civil War, haha. still kinda relevant tho?)

I just think Iron Man is a much better character

I agree, I really wish someone would have died in this movie. That's the problem with these mega franchises, they are too afraid to kill any of the major players.

So who is the "Paul Revere" character going to be in IW pt1? The one who warns the Avengers about Thanos? Thor, Captain Marvel, or the Guardians?

  15. Just on paper, a narcissistic, quick-witted and quippy genius is automatically more interesting than the heroic boy scout. Add that RDJ is a better actor than Chris Evans (though I think he's a fine actor), it's not surprising at all more people like :ironman:.

He also has more interesting arc. He starts out as anit-authoritarian and does whatever he wants. Riddled with guilt about all the destruction he's caused and lives he's destroyed, he leans toward submitting to authority and putting himself and the others in check.

:cap:'s whole arc as a character is that he doesn't change, which doesn't sound as interesting, but is just as compelling to me. Started out as a soldier for the gov't, is betrayed by it, and has to stick to his traditional ideals in a time he can't relate to against a gov't he used to serve.

  16. That's a toss-up to me. Thor is off literally investigating the infinity stones, right? The Guardians have dealt with someone who was directly connected to Thanos. I know nothing about Captain Marvel...

  17. Maybe Banner?

    I'm team Cap too.
I agree that :ironman: is a better and more watchable character; but he's deeply flawed in irredeemable ways (IMO) where :cap: is always on the right side of his argument; not always 'fun' and not always 'exciting' - but especially in this movie where the crux of the storyline was :ironman:'s morality vs :cap:'s morality.

I expect thrills from :ironman: and he delivered, but overall I went in team :cap: and came out team :cap:

I'm #TeamCap to the end of the line. But I don't hate Tony at all haha! While his actions are driven by emotion primarily, and therefore not always the best, it's very relatable and understandable.

Why do you mega loathe him? Haha

Much more excited for the Black Panter flick than I am for the new Spidey. I thought he was fine in Cap 3, but not impressive enough to get too excited.
