Yeah I think the villain is the best in the MCU by a huge distance

The Avengers having more than half the roster as fugitives sets up a sort-of-redemption storyline for the Infinity Wars movie 1 and 2, at least that is how I predict it.

That scene between Zemo and Black Panther, IMO, was perfectly placed. If they put any exposition scenes about Zemo's motives anywhere near the beginning or middle of the movie, it would have made him less compelling.

I saw this twice at the weekend, just as outstanding the second time. I thought it might get messy with all the characters But they managed to make so many shine in this. Still finding it really weird the uk seeing a big blockbuster before the us though.

I think all the MCU films release over this side of the water early. The Thor's certainly did.

Not a fan of the Thor films myself but I never noticed it with the others. I'm not that observant my though ha.

    I do not exist.

Yeah I'm pretty certain all the Avengers series films have come out over here before the US.

Definitely one of the strongest Marvel movies. Didn't have any of that forced "setting up for a sequel" stuff like AOU. Good balance of characters and humor. Great villain. Lots of heart.

It dealt with the subject of collateral damage way better than BvS (not to side with Marvel or DC, I don't really care). And Spider-Man - man, I can't wait to see what Tom Holland can do.

Am I going to be lost if I haven't seen the 2nd Avengers movie?

It'll help if you watch it (mainly because it introduces a few characters) but it's not 100% necessary. I would say The winter soldier is a much more vital watch beforehand.

Basically just keep in mind that AOU introduced Scarlet Witch and Vision and that the big final battle took place in Sokovia. It's the new characters that would probably feel a little jarring, particularly Vision if you don't know much about him.

I got the Civil War and BvS issues of Birth.Movies.Death and the art is fantastic. Gonna have to start collecting these

I saw it last night and I don't know if I liked it or not.

It felt really long, longer than any other Marvel film. I hated the shaky camera during fight scenes, I never notice it usually but it really put me off.

Story was good, villian was great, moved the universe on in an interesting way, but I can't say its my favourite MCU film. If I have some time I might go see it again.

This was incredible. I was mesmerized at how all the events unravelled and at the seamlessness with which every character played part in the story. Definitely a feast for the eyes too and they really excelled at character motivations here.

Wasn't expecting Ant-Man to be that great, his bits during the airport battle were probably just as fun as Spidey's.

The battle at the airport was seriously overstuffed with jokes though. It downplayed the "international thriller" style the movie had going for it until that point. Little disappointed in that. It really just felt like a silly fight amongst buddies. I don't know if this is the tone in the source material too. The final showdown between Cap and Iron Man was as serious and dramatic as Marvel has ever been so I guess that makes up for it.

Just to add another thought, man I don't care for Scarlet Witch. Most of her lines made me cringe.

It took me about half the film to realise she was attempting an accent, I assume it was Russian/Eastern European. Sounded American for most of it though.

awh man, is Elisabeth Olsen still attempting that accent she put on in AoU? that was so horrible. instead of hiring an actual Romani/Eastern European actress, they just hire a white woman and have her do a distractingly terrible accent, that took me out of AoU so much.

  19. She's not trying to pull off the accent at all in this one. She sounds almost American. Her deliveries were still god-awful though.

i noticed in one of the clips i saw that it didn't sound quite like she had an accent this time. guess they're going the same as the X-Men films, with Halle Berry/Storm dropping the accent pretty quickly
