Honestly though, sucks Deadpool gets all the praise for being R rated when Blade did it years before.

    I do not exist.

Unbelievably good film. This movie did what Age of Ultron couldn't quite manage and just about balances all the characters. I have to applaud the Russo brothers and whoever wrote it. Thought the new characters to the MCU were excellent too.

The two Caps are probably the best. Really just Cap 2. Very little need to revisit Avengers 2

I decided to watch the film via cam-rip on some random Russian website. There are moments that were definitely unexpected. Black Panther was a major highlight for me.

If only Marvel didn't kill off Quicksilver and allowed him to take part in the civil war. :worried:

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

I haven't seen the film yet but I think one of the gems will be used to bring him back in the future.

Cap 1 is one of my least favourites. A lot of bad stuff in that one. I still like it though.

    Play the Yakuza series

Wasn't a fan at all of The Winter Soldier but saw this on Sunday and loved it, had a good plot, well acted, some fantastic action sequences but also felt well paced. This film got the sour taste out of my mouth after watching the dreadful BvS, thank God.

I really liked this clip. Besides Black Panther, I might be most excited for a little more time spent with Wanda and Vision.

Spoiler tag? Message? I'm pretty pro-spoilers, tbh, lol. I already know the whole general plot of the film.

It's not much of a spoiler either way but I know how touchy people get. I'll pm.

Shower thoughts on Civil War's main villain.

I like how they wrote Zemo here. Most, if not all, of the enemies in the MCU so far are either a villain with superhuman powers (Loki, Ultron, etc) or a person with access to vast resources via an organization (military like Hydra, scientific like Advanced Idea Mechanics). But here, Zemo is just a mid-ranked soldier who goes rogue (probably worked alone on his plots). He is that guy whose death would have been just a number in the total collateral damage whenever the Avengers fights someone/something.

I like how, philosophically, it wasn't the guy/alien race/robot who can nearly destroy a city that tore a rift among the Avengers team. It was actually the fodder guy who was just out to avenge his family. It was the guy who barely threw any punches on any of the protagonists that did the most damage to all of them in the end.

    Or maybe I'm just high.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing where they go with Spider-Man after this. I definitely enjoyed this Marvel interpretation and can't wait for more nervous chatter in the midst of battle. Plus I appreciated that this film's use of the "with great power..." mantra wasn't as convoluted as The Amazing Spider-Man's "moral obligation" speech. Simple and effective way of hinting at the line we're all overly familiar with by now and I thought Tom Holland sold that far away look as he thought about ol' uncle Ben.

Agreed about Zemo. I thought the scene between him and Black Panther at the end was one of the most poignant moments in the film. Also interesting that most of the Avengers are now fugitives. Curious to see how that plays out when they all return.
So glad the next Avengers is in the hands of the Russo brothers. I was never a very big fan of either Avengers film under Whedon's direction, but this left me feeling very positive about the next one.
