Man he’s been churning out great stuff all throughout the last two decades. Magic, Wrecking Ball, Letter to You, Western Stars, etc

I’ve had a newfound love for The Seeger Sessions of late too, as I appreciate roots/folk more

i don’t dislike any of those. they’re just not to the level of the rising or the classic era albums. honestly of the post the rising stuff i probably like devils and dust most and you didn’t even mention it haha.

we’ll see how my feelings change revisiting them. probably gonna take a break for the weekend and listen to someone not from jersey

of all the 'venues' he has played at, I bet 'Steps of the Lincoln Memorial' is pretty cool.

I really wish we could get some more fully mixed live shows, such as Hammersmith or Live in NYC or the Hyde Park DVD.

I crave more live stuff from them, of that sound quality

I have bought some of the Nugs shows he releases and they're just not the same thing, sound-quality wise. I find myself not really listening to them very often.

  9. wow. didn't see this live, very powerful. the shot of him from the back with the washington monument in the distance (think it was after the first refrain) is uh....something

I'm a huge Bruce fan, but for some reason those first two records never hit me. It felt like the Boss started at Born To Run. There's stuff in there I like, but Greetings and WIESS felt like a pre-curser (which they were I suppose). The song writing felt like Bruce was trying too hard, to me at least.

The songwriting on WIESS I think is incredible. Love that long winded story type style

Listened to part of the first episode while getting dinner ready. Really enjoyed it. Kind of felt like an extension of Springsteen on Broadway.

  22. It might be the last one (:tear:) so whenever it does happen I'm prepared to book some flights at least for part of the inevitable NJ/NYC closing run (if not other non-STL dates too)
