I'd be with you on 'Letter' Craig, but that song helped me through the hardest time of my life - my father ( a big Bruce fan) passed away just after the album was released (He sadly never got to hear it)

That song sort of soothed me in a cathartic way

 

Shit I forgot about "Murder Most Foul"...

 

listening to Moonlight Motel a few times yesterday got me into wanting to learn how to get better at finger picking, and now my fingers hurt. thanks bruce.

 

My 26 year old cousin passed suddenly a month ago. I definitely spent a whole afternoon listening to "One Minute You're Here". Jeez.

 

Sorry to hear about your losses. My grandma passed a few weeks before Letter to You came out, and I first heard the album the day before her funeral. Really hit me hard.

 

Yeah I went through it in my head and if you asked me to list my 20 favorite Bruce songs there's a very good chance "Moonlight Motel" is on that list. Which is saying a helluva lot for this guy

I wouldn't blame him if he thought it was still 2019, I feel that way most days.

Let’s go! I’ll take all the Springsteen I can. Western Stars is honestly a top 3 album of his for me.

 

i absolutely love this album.

 

It’s a damn damn shame he’s not playing it live, especially Moonlight Motel which *whispers* might be a top 10 Bruce song. It’s definitely my favorite album closer of his since the 80s

 

i had hopes of a smaller intimate sort of like his broadway show run where he played these songs and maybe some more stripped down versions of others. we will never know the full list of things covid potentially robbed from us.

 

Life is long and inshallah Bruce still has some years left. He could circle back to it maybe

 

Really I’d settle for even just one video of the man playing Moonlight Motel
