This still is one of her best albums. What a great return to form it was.

The free Britney thing makes me uncomfortable. Just speculating on someone's mental health like that in general. I just hope she is happy and okay.

 

It seems like a pretty clear-cut case of conservatorship abuse to me. I don't think anyone needs to speculate about Britney when she's shown the public she's clearly able to perform at a high level night after night. Conservatorships are intended for people who are unable to feed and clothe themselves and a paper trail indicates that someone lied about Britney having dementia in order to get a judge to sign off on the conservatorship. Stripping someone of their legal rights is a last case scenario for people on their death beds, unable to make their own legal and medical decisions, and yet somehow the public has been able to justify attending Britney's shows, watching her interviews and appearances on sitcoms, and all the while she has had fewer legal rights than a child.

And one last note -- she's clearly not happy. She was put into a mental facility against her will in January (per court docs), her sons were just granted a restraining order against her abusive father (who is her legal conservator) and it's unclear if she's able to see them or anyone at all as she's social distancing. You and I can facetime a friend, Britney Spears has to get an okay to use a cell phone at all. Who could be happy in that situation?

 

I believe she has a hearing today so hopefully that could mean movement on the conservatorship being dismantled. Fingers crossed for her!
