I mean, you know you posted something that could be seen as inflammatory in this setting. This wasn't "I don't like Birde." You knew it would rile someone up. Trying to act like you are now put off by somebody responding glibly is weird. If you post things like that someone is gonna respond. And the response was pretty damn tame. So why go in on the dude?

You may find this hard to believe, but I don't post things with the intent of getting reactions, I post what I think. I really hate that song, so I posted that. And "lol" bugs the shit out of me because AP was riddled with it and that was specifically talked about as one of the major things to avoid on the new site. It's not like I'm offended by it, I just think it's dumb. By all means, ask me why I don't like the song; I'm happy to elaborate in a post other than the one in which I initially voted. Or don't respond at all. But just posting "lol" accomplishes nothing and certainly shows derision towards someone else's opinion, and there's no usefulness in that at all (and it's not the first time teebs has responded to me with just "lol", so I decided to say something this time around).

 

I'm just not really sure "this song actually blows" accomplishes anything either, if that is criteria we are using. And I find it hard to believe that someone posts something in a public forum without "the intent of getting reactions."

But whatever. Carry on.
