If Archers was the closer that would honestly be the biggest disappointment in the history of ever. I'd rather have it end on Untitled.

I think Archers is a good song but would be a pretty terrible closer. That album needs to end on a slow, kind of resigned track.

 

That's alright. I was just suggesting a possible alternative based on closer song trends. If you don't like Archers, that's cool. Good thing it ends on Handcuffs.

 

Even if I did like Archers, it'd be like sex without the pillow talk and cuddles afterwards. It's too much of an explosion that ends abruptly to close the album.

 

I don’t think Archers works as a closer at all. Handcuffs is perfect, musically, as a breath after that explosive release (and all the other explosions on the album) and lyrically as a reflection on and synthesis of a lot of the themes of the album.

Nice to hear these opinions! Hearing your thoughts makes me a bit more appreciative of the closer. I'll keep them in mind the next time I listen to TDAG.

I wish I could remember the first time I heard Sowing Season

 

Mine was right when TDAG was coming out. I loved Deja but was just getting into following bands. My friend who was obsessed with BN burnt me a mix of newer songs from bands and led the cd with YWK

I would’ve voted for it Chicago style, early and often.

 

Archers works great where it is, allowing Handcuffs to wrap it all up softly, kinda like "Mae" into "National Anthem" on Gaslight Anthem's Handwritten

 

I wish there were a way to more accurately seed the songs in the brackets, but that would basically just be coming up with a consensus ranking, which would be kind of silly because the higher seeded song would never lose.

 

If im understaning this correct, essentially meaning of all songs on the album if only one could exist which would it be, you'd get some real good conversation and maybe some drastically different answers

 

Yeah, I liked that when we did it for Man Orch. I'm enjoying the brackets too and it's all in good fun, but they're definitely flawed for the reasons you listed.

The Archers Bows Have Broken. Back in the day i unchecked handcuffs on iTunes bc I didn't like it so in my head this has always been the closer and it's epic. Couldn't love this song more.

Jesus. Never cared for limo at all. When I listen to it I re-realize its good but it's far from a standout to me given the other songs on the record.

Sowing Season(Yeah). Yeah.

Not The Sun. Some days I'd choose degausser but the sun slander upset me. As I said earlier, dont be waves comes and seal my fate marine is a top BN moment.
