my first TBS show was at projekt revolution before i really appreciated em. would've loved to see em 11 more times since then haha.
if i remember correctly i think this weekend might make it 12 for me with UO at self-help fest.

 

Nice, have a good time! That show's got a great line-up this year. I've only seen UO once at Warped Tour (09 i think), and I have yet to see ADTR so I'll cross them off my list eventually.

surprised Boy is getting doubled up, thought it was more of a big hitter

 

I thought Guernica was pretty unpopular so I'm very surprised. That said, that's the only matchup I'd be fine going either way.

The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot
-Guernica is likely my least favorite song on the album, so this one was pretty easy. I like it, but it's no match for the emotional connection I've forged with Boy.

The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows
-This was also an easy match-up. I definitely prefer the first half of Deja to the second half, and Quiet Things is one of my favorite Brand New songs. That chorus is massive and so fun to sing along to. Same goes for the bridge.

Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't
-I'm rooting for Tommy Gun to win this round and this match. Kind of easily my favorite on the album. I love the tension before the big explosion in the first chorus, I love the bridge, I love it live... it really hits all my marks for a great Brand New song.

Play Crack the Sky
-This is definitely the toughest pairing, but I have to give the edge to Play Crack. It's certainly in the same boat (pun intended) as Boy for me with nostalgia, sentimentality, and emotional connection. As much as I love Sic Transit, I cannot deny those forces.

 

These match ups are my worst nightmare. I need some t to the 4th power m.

The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows: I came close to picking Good to Know, but I listened to it back to back with Quiet Things and as soon as Quiet Things started I knew I had no choice.

Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't: Gave it to Tommy Gun, but just barely. It was really hard to choose, and it mostly wont just because I love the c-c-c-c-controversial line.

Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades: Another brutal one, but I think this was the 2nd BN song I liked after Jesus, so I have to give it the edge.

The first 6 songs on this + Jesus was all I knew of Brand New for a while, so they all have kind of a special place for me.

Also; I love how bad people bash on Adam for calling Jesse a dick (back when it happened too), like he's just trash talking jesus in a church or something. Who cares what he thinks? And who cares what he says? I bet Jesse thinks Adam is a dick too and I bet he's told a couple of people that. It's almost like when you think someone sucks, you aren't allowed to say it, only allowed to think about it.
