I was at this show. I was a senior at BGSU and drove home for it during the March Madness tournament (I had Oklahoma winning the entire tournament because of KD and they lost that day in the second round). Anyway, a MAJOR highlight for me was Brand New covering Butterfly. I went to the show with one of my best friends from high school and during high school, anytime we'd see a guitar at a party, we'd break out Butterfly at these parties for years.

Also, I will never forget the end of that show. Obviously, they encored with Good to know...but I'm not so sure that was supposed to be the last song because the show just...ended abruptly. Jesse was going nuts on guitar and lost his footing and fell into the drum set and the drum set imploded and the band just kind of all looked at each other and then walked off. The crowd wasn't sure if that was supposed to happen, or if the show was over because the drums were all messed up and the lights came on and it was over. I don't think anyone really expected that was going to be the end. It was very confusing and I still think about it often, haha.

That Butterfly cover would've been great to see.

Missing this show will forever haunt me.

Man, I can't believe I've seen Brand New 10 times. As much as I bitch about them not touring much, I've been blessed to see them so many times (although five of them I've had to travel at least 2 1/2 hours to see them)

I actually regret not getting to the show earlier because Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine were the openers. In 2007, I had no clue who they were so I didn't even bother to get there earlier. It wasn't until their 2009 tour that I got to see MO and fall in love with them.

I THOUGHT I remembered MO was an opener but I wasn't completely sure. Didn't know that KD (not Kevin Durant @BTDandFeelingThis ) was an opener too. That's awesome

No, for shits and giggles I tried to get Detroit tickets just to see if I was capable and to my surprise I was able to get to the checkout on 2 different occasions with 2 GA tix (I tried on the presale days)...but with the new baby, it'd be a tough sell to my wife to go out of town for the night with the baby only being 6-7 weeks old at that point. Was also stunned to see the tickets were $66 after fees.

I will for sure go see them in 2018, wherever that may be.

He'd commit to opening for them, but then if someone better offered him an opening spot he'd drop out on his Brand New commitment.

Brand New beat him so he stuck to his 'if you can't beat them join them' logic

I've seen Brand New 10x, Bayside 10x and TBS 9x...those are the three highest I've also seen Manchester Orchestra/BadBooks/Andy Hull a combined 9 times.

I thought I had seen TBS more, but I just did a count on a concert spreadsheet I have and it was only 9.
