Favorite part of the album. Along with the chorus of 451

 

I honestly am not a fan of the 451 chorus, but the draining line at the beginning makes me thirsty.

The chorus is too FOB for me and I'd rather it sound more like BN.

 

I love it...although the way Jesse sings some of the lines reminds of me Archers Bows a bit

 

The line of "a million suns won't fill you up, if you can't see the wine flowing over your cup" is brilliant and cutting.

 

Nothing wrong with sounding like Archers. I love that one. It's hardly a "filthy silver song," that's for sure.

I am actually not a fan of playing this album in my car. LOVE listening to it at home laying on the couch or doing house work with headphones on. But in my car it doesn't sit right with me; but I'm generally a 'catchy rocking out' kind of guy in the car.

 

451 fits that!

-I said you "were talking like." Not that you said groundbreaking.

-My opinion is weak? Yours is "Logan is a great song and one of the best on this album cause it's getting votes." It got the votes it did cause he's eating that album cover! That's all. Votes literally went split down the middle this round for it.

-You state you can't debate my preference or opinion but that's exactly what you've been doing since you started quoting me.

 

Why is Neck Deep on the radio now? Same reason why Brand New caught on as well. The younger fan base back in that time frame loved pop punk and the bands that were doing it right (TBS, BN, STD, Movielife, Blink). The album garnered a younger fan base that has matured/grown with the band and now recognize that it's really just Brand New getting its feet wet. They almost entirely abandoned the sound with Deja.

Now with how shitty the pop punk scene is and all the watered down rendition bands of ones that came before them, it's easy to look back at Your Favorite Weapon and be like "That album was one of the best Pop Punk albums ever."

 

I voted Logan because it has my favorite Brand New lyric in it: "woo!"

-Logan is a great song. I voted for it because I genunely like it. The album cover thing is funny, and I have brought that up, but that was just joking around.

-I'm debating your reasoning, not really your opinion. I haven't demanded you change it or anything. I'm simply poking your reasoning to try to get to the real reasons you like that song. Filter out the nonsense and it boils down to, "it's a unique song within the album context and it is filled with nostalgia." Any song here is filled with nostalgia so not really a big factor in this context. Soco is the more unique song, that is a valid point and worthy of making up your mind. It's just not how I decide my preferences.

I love the shout out to the Cure in Logan, when it slows down. That part is so satisfying.

 

That's all fine and dandy with you liking Logan, as well as not agreeing with my points. Except, you forget you quoted me for saying this whole thing is gonna come down to voting for *arguably* the best song on the album VS the album eating song. Just because my reasoning for liking the song didn't meet your standard of approval doesn't mean my reasoning and how I worded it are weak. That's just your opinion, man. I could make up my mind on it based on the song titles and it shouldn't be grounds for 5 responses of you talking like a condescending robot.
