Microwave always gave me slight MO vibes too. I gotta go revisit them now. Honestly don't really know who to compare Brand New to, I would just shout out bands that influenced them, but idk if that's what you're looking for.

 

It also depends which version of brand New the earthling means. Are we talking the more common sound of YFW/Deja Brand New? Or the "ok we have a fan base let's make the music we really want to make now." TDAG/Daisy Brand New?

I've been listening to this band for 10 years and just noticed yesterday that they use the first verse of Millstone as backing vocals on the last chorus. Always something more to find.

But can they detect god ki?
