Can't go wrong with Transatlanticism imo

 

I don't know. I seem to have grown out of records like Plans and Transatlanticism over the years. I still enjoy Narrow Stairs quite a bit though.

 

Plans I appreciate for introducing me to broader pop appeal when I was younger, and I still enjoy those songs, but Transatlanticism is just a different level of appreciation though. Narrow Stairs grows on me every time I listen to it, but there's an immediacy to my fav DCFC albums (Transatlanticism and We Have the Facts) that idk if they can beat

Yeah it's great. I like all 3 eps too. Heavy Hearts and Safe to Say are on the same label in Canada both are some of my fave up and coming bands.

I'd prob have to go with Jesus off of TDAG honestly...it just captures the mood of that album so well. Maybe throw in parts of Limo tho.

So many bands from last weeks discussion are heavily in my rotation now

 

I had a really, REALLY weird dream concerning Brand New and some sort of 'origin story', 'where are they now', 'reunion' video or something that that included, among other things. Jesse Lacy's parents finding out that Jesse faked his death in order to escape the public eye.

Most of this reveal and watching of the video/origin story took place in an old-style stone mansion that was dilapidated but was rumored to be where the band wrote and recorded a lot of their songs.

I cannot explain beyond this lol.

Okay here is my confession.

A couple months ago there was a "Best of 2016 Chorus Members Compilation". I submitted a joke cover of I Am A Nightmare but submitted it anonymously haha. I was purposely trying to make it as awful and hard to listen to as possible. I had just submitted my cover (real cover haha) of the Hotelier's song "Soft Animal" and I just thought "huh I wonder if people would laugh if I submitted a one take anonymous joke cover"...

IT DIDNT WORK. Everyone was way too nice to realize it was a joke, and everyone have such nice feedback that it actually made me feel a little bad knowing it was a total troll. Anyway, I needed to get that off my chest. Now listen to this and tell me it wasn't obvious it was a joke, I'm not even singing the lyrics lol

And no, I DO NOT actually sing like that
